My money was on Louie Anderson, but I guess that's not going to happen now.

Is this the sequel to the original thread? That one seemed to be a fairly wishy-washy question; this one is more assertive.

Not a bad choice.
Some time ago Tom Hiddleston was being considered as a potential replacement for Daniel Craig. I remember thinking that he just didn’t seem right for the role to me. Then I saw him in the mini-series “The Night Manager” and changed my mind. I now think he would make a great Bond.

Tom Hardy.
Or if it ends up being a black guy, Idris Elba. I don't care if it's a cliche choice.

Elba should have been given the gig for the last film, maybe getting a bit old now as it's a 10 year + contract in reality. Hardy could do it in his sleep but think he'd be wasting his career doing it.

Elba is what, 50? Hardy is mid-40s, and both are too “big” at this point. Bond producers don’t go for superstars. With how long the films take to make these days, they need to cast someone in his mid-30s at the oldest - otherwise they’ll only get one or two films out of him before he’s visibly too old for the role. It was bad enough in 1985 when Moore was 58. He was 45 when he was cast but you could rely on those films coming out every 2 years like clockwork (with the exception of a 3-year gap between The Man with the Golden Gun and The Spy Who Loved Me).

I'd like to see that guy from the Brave New World series do it. Harry Lloyd I think he's called. Or maybe Henry?
Weirdly he also played the blonde brother of the breast wielding girl from Game of Thrones (although I only watched the first two or three episodes so I don't recall the character's name).
