It's not enormous, but I thought there was something of a personality change in T'Challa from Captain America: Civil War to Black Panther.
Actually, from the course of the beginning of the MCU, Iron Man and Captain America kind of swapped characters. Iron Man went from playboy individualist privatizing world peace to Sekovia Accords signing government oversight advocate. Meanwhile, Captain America went from dutiful soldier and believer in institutions to refusing to be a regulated outfit and being on the run from the establishment.

What was the change in T'Challa? Wiser, nicer.

What was the change in T'Challa? Wiser, nicer. Didn't he stop his father's killer from killing himself in Civil War? That's pretty nice too.

Arnold, playing the terminator. But it was good because terminator one and two don't suck.

What was the change in T'Challa? Wiser, nicer. Doesn't get much nicer and wiser than stopping your father's killer from killing himself. That's pretty much it there's nowhere else to go after that.

Okay.
Well you said he was nicer in BP which was quite a ridiculous statement because he saved his father's killer in Civil War or did you fall asleep after the Cap and Ironman fight?

He had a softer tone. Less stand-offish, more mature, more kingly. More leader-like. You didn't see a personality adjustment between the two movies at all?

Saving your father's killer is pretty mature and leader like it's actually the opposite I think he was more mature in Civil War.

You're not the first person who mentioned it and I don't know why either of you think it makes a difference in T'Challa's tone between movies. I'd go further to say the revelation he was after the wrong man for most of Civil War changed him in a big way, but I found he was more approachable, smiley, and up to the task of leadership in Black Panther when the plot called for it.

It makes a big difference when you're using descriptions like nicer or wiser when he already was in Civil War if someone blew up your dad or mum and wanted to kill himself after thus you not needing to do anything would you stop him? Him being King of Wakanda was his duty and obligation to his people nothing to do with him being nicer and wiser and opening doors for damsels to walk through.

Do you recall him smiling or being nice even once after his father was killed? I'm not asking if it makes sense for him to be upset after his father died, I'm asking if you noticed the change in his demeanor from those two films. I sure did.

So all this hinges on him smiling more? The Joker does plenty of smiling. A pill?

It's not worth it. Enjoy the movie.
