I read Anne's diary when I was 12 or 13, her age when she went into hiding. The story touches me deeply, and I am grateful to share that feeling with so many others around the world. After reading such a personal story it can be hard to accept that a fellow human betrayed Otto Frank and his family, but that has been the consensus. The question is who? Informing Nazis on a fellow Dutch person was a crime in the Netherlands at that time. Otto publicly searched for whomever outed his family, causing their deaths, but he abruptly ended that search without answer. We may have learned why. I heard they used a super computer to come to that conclusion. I don't know how I feel about that. I hope it's not smearing the wrong man.

Sadly not surprising at all someone turned them in... It was a terrible time. And if there was incentive to turn in "traitors"? You bet People would do it.
A Jewish film director Kurt Gerron was forced to make a propaganda film to show that life at the Camps wasn't bad at all... Footage of smiling prisoner's, Kids playing, Musicians performing were filmed... Only 20 minutes of footage has survived.
Kurt Gerron, His Wife,, the Film crew, and People who acted in it were swiftly deported and executed in the Gas chambers upon arrival... The film was only shown four times. I wonder if they got an extra scrap of Bread etc. to participate in the film?
