1957 Young Kruger is very good in this modest but effective film... His boastful, smart-ass German pilot is arrogant as hell but nonetheless likable -- and you end up rooting for him even though he flew for the Nazis. (There is an excellent-looking copy of this movie available for free on YouTube.)
