When Bond arrives in Cuba, his contact there gives him some basic items, including a black revolver. What kind of revolver is it, and is this revolver generally available in gun shops, or is it some special or old model that is no longer produced ?

It is a Smith & Wesson Model 10 HB .38 Special . As far as I know it perfectly leagle to buy and own one in the U.S. A.
