But I still don't see why you think it's a conspiracy No one is saying conspiracy. It was Snyder that said he wanted it to be private. So they did something to keep it private. That's all good. He needs his privacy. It's his family. But you've been saying that you think the only reason they invited Whedon into the world at all was because they wanted him for Justice League and Batgirl was either a promise that was never going to happen or simply a conciliatory move to get him. That's the conspiracy...that somehow Batgirl will never happen because it was all just a rouse to get him involved.

Why doesn't everyone put this weirdraptor on ignore? This place would even more peaceful then. very reasonable, but for me that would essentially turn this whole board into Marvelland with a few weak villains remaining, and a lot of bantering & quipping protagonists. I am not a big fan of that MCU formula, I need a strong, abominable villain who really represents the worst parts of myself, and who one has to fight and overcome every day to better oneself.
But that's just me dude...

Saw that. But ultimately that isn't that much of a shock. He is a "film fixer" from way back...particularly on comic book movies. What I find more interesting is that it wasn't Warner Bros./DC bringing him on, but some of the reports I have seen sounds like it was Snyder's idea.

No what I said was that we were told he was there to do Batgirl because they wanted the Snyders' tragedy to remain private. He even said that he knew what trolls would say about him stepping down without saying why. I mean, without him saying why it looks like a was fired and replaced. Kind of a Josh Trank situation. So he takes time off and tells the media that Whedon is working on Batgirl to hide that he was working on Justice League and the Snyders were stepping down for the remainder of the movie. But, then again, I could be totally wrong.

I mean, they give working titles to keep movies secret. Saying someone is doing something to keep another person's private life private is not all that farfetched. But I understand, you want that Batgirl movie so bad that you can't see it not coming out because they said so. Still waiting on Bryan Singer's Logan's Run and Liman's Justice League Dark.

But, then again, I could be totally wrong. Josh Trank? That was a very different situation, the studio gutted the film of action sequences last second because they wanted to save money, and Trank had a hissy fit during production because of this, then Fox brought in......someone, either a second unit director, a producer or Kinberg (rumored) to direct the reshoots, while locking Trank out of those reshoots and editing bay.

"I mean, without him saying why it looks like a was fired and replaced. Kind of a Josh Trank situation." This is what I said. It would be seen as such if he just left and was replaced while trying to keep it private. People have been wanting them to replace Snyder for the longest. Especially after BvS. People would see it in the same light as the Trank situation*, because of that wanting him to be taken off the DCEU, without that explanation because he wanted to keep it private. Also, from what was said, Trank was trying to live like a rock star all through making the movie. *Not talking about Trank being an a-hole. But him being removed and someone finishing the movie for him. Hell, another example would be Richard Donner on Superman 2, but Trank is more recent. Another thing. Stop looking at it as me trying to be a troll. You guys get so defensive.

And they're similar situations, but occurred for vastly different reasons.

I actually just checked on IMDB lol. I thought he directed it but it looks as if he just co-wrote it. He just wrote some of it. You can even tell that he recycled the band of mercenaries for Firefly. I heard Alien:Res mostly followed his script, but Whedon blamed it being awful on the casting and direction. That's pretty much his go to defense for anything he does that sucks (re: Storm's lightning line from X-Men), but still, Whedon's had more hits than misses.

And I've heard he only wrote a version of the script, but not the final one. Funny how that goes. The thing about Whedon that gives his standard defense some credibility is that his scripts have a very specific Whedon-language to them that only works when he's around to make it work. He had to walk Chris Hemsworth through the "He's adopted" line from The Avengers, because actor knew the line was funny, but he wasn't sure to deliver it without Whedon's direction.
