The fact that is has a female as the lead.
Because to me it seems like, it's weird. But I'll tell you how I know what I'm talking about: Because I think also, that if it was a male lead, it would be equally strange.

The walking carpet was weird.

Star Wars has never got it completely right. Even the original trilogy had major flaws, the characterisation of the protagonists being but one of them. And the prequels and sequels just expanded on those weaknesses, instead of building on its strengths. Luke was a manchild, young Anakin was annoying and Rey was a bitch. I know that characters have to have flaws but they should at least be developed beyond the annoying kid who becomes a hero, the idiot who becomes a hero and the bitch who becomes a hero. Add the awkward dialogue and you have hours of crap, interspersed with enough compelling material to keep it alive until the next chapter.

I would say, if they went ahead and had a male . Then it wouldn't work people would say it's sexist. But having a female, wouldn't work either. Cuz then they have to make her be able to do everything, because if they didn't, people would say she's a damsel in distress. Damned if you do or don't.
That's all I mean.

Everything is so political now. Maybe the solution is to choose some kind alien or droid as the lead? Or have a more ensemble piece where there isn't a clear main character and everyone is supporting in the story (Rogue One is probably the closest Star Wars title to do that).

They have forced diversity in them now, in my opinion it's a problem. And I'm not sure who's responsible for them doing that, but someone apparantly thought... to do so.

It depends on the circumstances, to me. I don't like when people behind shows/movies are just going down a checklist of what they feel (not think) is diversity. It's not even real diversity - it's faux diversity. It's essentially, "Does this project have black people in it or not?", and completely neglects any other people in the world. When it's natural to the story like Fennec Shand, Ahsoka, Cara Dune, Mace Windu, Lando, Bail Organa, etc., that's when diversity truly works in entertainment.

Well, I know the diversity doesn't seem forced in the prequels for example. But everything that came after has this including solo.
I aint seen the madolorian though. I'm gonna assume it has forced diversity in it. Like, I"m sure the man in it gets his ass kicked by females, in it. But I can't say for sure since I haven't seen it.

I’m still not sure what the OP even means.

I thought they did a good job casting Rogue One and The Mandalorian. The Book of Boba Fett was more uneven.
