What else could I possibly have said? Do you remember the movie Traffic (2000) with Benicio Del Toro, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Don Cheadle and other genius actors? If so, you remember that Catherine Zeta-Jones husband has been arrested and as a dutiful wife it's her responsibility to carry on the family business: importation and distribution of cocaine. Her task is made more difficult by stool-pigeon Miguel Ferrer. Catherine lives up to the challenge of transporting cocaine from Mexico but she has difficulty in assassinating Miguel Ferrer, ably protected by Don Cheadle and Luis Guzmán. All her attempts are failing and Miguel Ferrer will soon testify. What follows then is the greatest scene in the history of the cinema. Miguel Ferrer is being conducted across a parking lot and in a car is a killer in cell phone communication with Catherine Zeta-Jones. She gives him these instructions: This might be the last chance to do it. Get out of the car and shoot him in the head. Just shoot him. The man complies but he gets shot dead and Miguel Ferrer survives. However, there's a happy ending. Catherine hires yet another killer and this guy succeeds by catering a poison breakfast to Miguel Ferrer. Given all that, the justification for my previous comments, tepid as they were, is pellucidly clear. |

It's been more than seventy years now, and the people who were around then and still alive now are somewhat elderly.
