vs which is better? Both of these sequels came out 11 years after its predecessor and take place in the original location of Woodsboro with a new cast of "teens". I personally feel Scream 5 was better made than Scream 4. No offense to Craven but I can't recall any real tense or thrilling moments in Scream 4 and it was really ugly visually especially for a 40m budgeted film (though its been a while since I've seen it) and I think had some out of place humor. Scream 5 had some genuinely tense scenes (the House scene with Dylan Minette was fucking great) and Ghostface felt threatening again. I like also in his phone calls he played up the charm again especially during the opening scene while I felt in 4 he immediately just jumped into "I'm gonna cut you up into pieces" mode. However, I think Scream 4 had the better cast and the better motive. So right now, I will give the edge to Scream 5, though It might change if I can get in a Scream 4 rewatch sometime
