Interesting baseball season so far. Favorites like the Cubs and the Red Sox have struggled, while the Astros have had a great rebound year and teams like the Rockies, Brewers, D-Backs and Twins have been surprisingly good.
My Fish need to get out of the cellar. We are a hell of a lot better than we are playing, our starting pitching is a disaster but we have talent and should be better. Hopefully we will get back on track.
How are your teams doing? What teams-storylines are you finding interesting so far?

The Astros are great, I had a feeling they were going to have a comeback season and they are doing great, first team to 30 wins. Their lineup is the deepest in MLB, they are extremely versatile and can move around and they have a lot of talented players, they made great offseason pickups, their young guys on the infield corners are doing good and Altuve-Correa is the best middle infield in baseball. Their pitching has really rebounded, especially Keuchel, he had a very disappointing 2016 and he has been brilliant this year. The Astros did such a great job getting out of the doldrums of a few years ago and made all the right moves, I think they will be heading to the World Series this year.

Very interesting series starts tonight, D-Backs at Brewers, two of the most improved teams in the league. I have to say, I think Paul Goldschmidt may be the most underrated player in baseball, he is such a terrific base hitter, slugger and he has speed, never gets enough credit for what a star he is. Off to another great start this year.

How are the Mets and Marlins doing? Still suck? Just checking. FU! Rafael Montero's line this year is absolute nightmare fuel: 19.2 innings, 18 ER, 33 H, 17 BBs, good for an 8.24 ERA, 2.54 WHIP. What really sucks is that they really don't have any other options so I'm sure he'll get another start.

Goldschmidt is terrific, Jake Lamb has emerged as a strong cleanup hitter, and guys like Peralta, Pollock, Drury and Tomas are all healthy and producing. Their starting pitching has been surprisingly good as well, their pen is the main concern. The NL Central is really weird. The Cubs aren't performing nearly as good as expected, and the Brewers are doing very well with a bunch of solid players but no real superstars. Fish played their best game in a long time tonight defeating the Angels and finally we are out of the cellar. Maybe we will start an uphill climb now if we can get some decent pitching. Only three 30 win teams right now, Astros, Rockies and D-Backs. Astros are the best team all around IMO, they don't have a weak spot on the team and their bench is loaded with great talent.

I loathe these stupid camo lettering on the unis and a utterly hate the dopey caps. Every bumpkin, hayseed and redneck downstate has a hat like that, just substitute the team logo with a John Deere logo.
Its not to honer veterans, its to sell apparel. Like the pink crap for Mom's day, the Red White and Blue for the 4th, the blue for Dad's Day etc.

The Astros are an exciting team to watch, they just came back from down 8-2 in the 8th to the Twins today. They have such a great offense, everyone of their players is good and they always have a loaded bench. They are going to the World Series IMO, I don't see any team who can slow them down.
The Fish finally won a series over the Angels which was nice to see. I really like how Stanton is batting 2nd behind Gordon now, it's helped him hit better with less pressure and it's made the lineup smoother. If we get any pitching, we will be good. I hope Trout is okay after spraining his thumb, he's an amazing player who doesn't even get enough recognition as to how great he is because he's on a mediocre team. Imagine if he played for a media darling team.
