Does anyone else find it fttng that the last game he ever pitched was a world series loss to the yankees to clinch the championshp? when was it? 2009 when the phils ridiculously started him like 2 times in 4 games or something like that. gotta admit - he pitched admirable for the Phils - but it spoke volumes about them at the time they needed to roll that old corpse out there. then we were blessed with the '4 Aces' - Halladay, Lee, Hamels, Oswalt with Blanton in the 5 whole. never saw a group just collectively fall off the face of the earth (the whole team for that matter - utley, rollins, howard) all at one time...... |
