I am re-watching Baby Boy and he is terrific in this movie.
Pulp Fiction, Out of Sight, Dark Blue, Dawn of the Dead, The People Under the Stairs, Undisputed, Bringing Out the Dead, Mission: Impossible, Rosewood, Don King: Only in America etc.
Now it seems that the only time we ever see him is when a Mission: Impossible sequel is released.
What happened with him? Does anyone know?

Is he still doing the Arby's ads that 'most everyone seems to think is James Earl Jones ?

He's been stuck doing direct-to-DVD films outside of the Mission: Impossible sequels. Not sure what caused his career downturn in the first place.

I’ve always liked him. Not sure why he’s reduced his pop culture footprint to occasional Mission Impossible cameos and Arby’s commercials.

For a second there, you made me think he died in the last couple of years.

He named his daughter Reign Beau Rhames.
and his parents named HIM "Irving" ... Was named after retired NBC journalist Irving R. Levine Was given the nickname he goes by, "Ving," by his one-time roommate Stanley Tucci.

Hadn't thought it before this thread. But yeah it's weird how he's sort of just dropped off the radar.

Dropping off the radar is retiring to a nice secluded cabin or a fishing village not filming car chases and stunts with Tom Cruise.

Anyone remember when he won an award (Golden Globe, I think) but instead gave it to Jack Lemmon?

He was born in 1959 ... will be 63 in May .. maybe he's feeling a little tired of doing action films and that is all that he is offered ?

Miss him? I’m prepared to scour the Earth for that motherfucker.
His performance in Bringing Out the Dead isn't talked about much. He either makes my lineup or just outside it.

Ving Rhames has always been sort of not interesting to watch. Tom Cruise gets him out of his comfort zone in his Mission Impossible movies giving him something to do but that's about it and the height of his career.
