Sabalenka wins the Women's Aussie Title in 3 sets
Per ESPN - she's come from 1 set down to eventually win more than any other woman since 2020

I could not pick either of those two girls in a lineup.

I tried to stay up and watch it. I got through two sets. Sabalinka was coming on strong winning the second.
Sab is built like a tank. Rab is powerful too, but slightly more feminine. Good match, good win.

I can't believe Tstispias is only 24 years old
Feels like he's been around forever
Just looked up when he turned pro - 2013 - shortly after he turned 15 per Wiki
Reached #3 in the World back in 2021 - that feels like a lifetime ago to me. Maybe because of his recent early exits - maybe because of some of his heartbreaking Slam losses previous to that - been bounced in the Semis numerous times and the French Finals

Meh
Was hoping Tsitsipas would break Joker there so he had a chance to tie it up at 5 on his serve
Joker takes the first set
6-3

Saddens me this is wrapping up
Next Slam 4 months away which is a blast - Kickoff to Summer
They should bump up the majors to 6 a year. 1 every 2 months. Put one in South America and one in Asia.
People may complain about players need rest for their bodies to recuperate, rebuild and repair - but these athletes are phemons in tip top shape. Use the 2 months inbetween Slams to rest/practice. Play some small tournies if you want some competitive juice

Djokovic won't be allowed to enter the USA for the two upcoming Masters Series tournaments, Indian Wells and Miami, because he is not vaccinated against COVID.
As much as I despise the anti-vaxx movement, this is ridiculous. Everything is pretty much back to normal, there are no restrictions anywhere, but foreigners are still not allowed into the country unless they are vaccinated?

Tough shit. Fuck him. With the way he handled the '22 Australian Open (and events prior to that), he deserves it. Stop feeling sorry for him.

For the first time in 18 years, Rafael Nadal is not one of the Top 10 tennis players in the world.
