A-
Excellent piece of superhero work, had everything except a big bad to battle - Green Goblin had his moments, & yet there wasn't much gravitas there. The MCU has skewed my biases I think. Spider-Man has helped fight Thanos in hand to hand combat... Goblin was not going to further himself in the MCU, nor would he be killing Spider-Man. The stakes for this film were quite low on the battlefield. Thankfully, Peter Parker MCU did face personal demons & questions of himself, & that did pick up the tension nicely for effect. This is the best MCU Spider-Man to date, easily, though I still would choose Spider-Man 2 for greatest in franchise - that one is outstanding with great balance. Having said all that, I really enjoyed how open ended they left No Way Home - final act having Doctor Strange dealing with the multiverse stuff to follow (interesting since this was supposed to follow-up Multiverse of Madness, yet Sony said f that & forced this one the prior release).

It is pretty close to a 10. Maybe it is a 10. Something in me is reluctant to say it's perfect though. I don't think they needed the death scene. I really, really love it though.

8.5/10. Rounded off to a 9. One of the best movies I've seen in a while, definitely worth the wait.

I’ll give a solid 7. It’s a damn fun movie and easily the best of the Holland trilogy.
