I'm guessing that this is about 5-6 years old. It was a one-time-only presentation by a stand-up comic, who was recalling his childhood experiences playing in the various ethnic neighborhoods in New York City.
I don't recall the comic's name. I hadn't heard of him before he appeared on "The Late Show," with Stephen Colbert, to promote the Netflix special.
Given what could have been a controversial subject, it was quite touching, and equally addressed in humor.
I've tried a Netflix, and a Google search, using keywords. Netflix comes up with "no results," and Google suggests several Dave Chappelle presentations. This comic was considerably older, and Caucasian.

Jervistetch, thank you! I did, indeed, find it. It's "The New York Story," with Colin Quinn. (2016)
I appreciate it.
