I had a similar problem when I was a youngster. But neither is a problem for me now. thats good. Although I’m not sure sure our dogs would get along with a kitty My first dog and cat - Pipp, a Female Corgi and Kitty, a Ginger Tom - were best mates, except at meal times, due to Pippi being a glutton. And whenever we've had a dog and a cat simultaneously afterwards, they always seemed to get along. Even when we had a Toy Pom that weighed 0.5 kilos and two cats that were both two or three times his size and nearly twenty times his weight... he was the boss and the cats were content with that.

I am sure you know my choice already - kittens! My litter of four that I am fostering until they are old enough to go back to the vet clinic for adoption are just getting to the stage where they are playing with each other, doing 'sideways kitty' and slapping at each other, but still curl up together to sleep. They purr big and loud after they have eaten and I am patting their backs to get them to burp! They are just adorable at this stage, but they still need a few more weeks to wean onto solid food. When they are ready, the clinic will hold them for about a week before putting them on display in the lobby. Their adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all baby vaccs and de-worming if needed. Potential adopters are already clients of the clinic, so the chances of a forever home for them is high. Their mama was killed on the road when they were just three days old, so they got sick at about 2 weeks, but the vets and I did multi-drug therapy and nebulizing for upper respiratory infection, and happily they are doing well and eating me out of house and home! Two orange tabbies, a brown tabby and one Torti shell female, they are so much fun! The first two weeks of feeding every 3 hours around the clock nearly did me in, but they are so worth the effort! Kittens are my bliss!
