Fantastic movie. One of my all time favourites. It's so well constructed - everyone has motivation for everything they do, characters make sense, it's always clear what people are trying to achieve and why, things are set up properly and the set ups pay off properly.
The one minor gripe I have is that whilst Cliff gets exactly what he wants from life, his girlfriend doesn't. They needed to have her get a call or something - "Oh, I got the big part! I'm going to be in movies!"
7/10. The recreation of an Errol Flynn movie set is the scene highlight for me but the lead is dull and Connelly is deliberately covered up. It feels Disney-bland--suffering from interference which made it comfortable for all audiences when it was intended to be more adult-oriented.
