Still irrelevant. The state hired the Public Defender. But the Public Defender works independent of the D.A.'s office and doesn't have to answer to the D.A. Likewise, Wells worked independent of the NFL and didn't have to answer to the NFL or Goodell. The only reason the NFL paid Wells to conduct the independent and unbiased investigation was because someone has to pay and the Patriots didn't want to pay for an independent and unbiased investigation so the NFL had to foot the bill for it in order to ensure that there was an independent and unbiased investigation. In fact, not only is the Public Defender analogy a great analogy, but here's an even better analogy. Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez was arrested and charged with the murder of Odin Lloyd. Under the Constitution, Hernandez has the constitutional right to a trial by jury. But Hernandez didn't pay for his trial. The state paid for Hernandez trial. The state paid for the salaries of the judge, the clerk, the bailiff. The state paid for the tables and chairs in the courtroom and paid for the cost of electricity so the lights could be turned on in the courtroom. The state even pays a stipend to the jurors. Does that mean the jurors have to come back with the verdict that the state wants? Now do you realize how dumb and irrelevant your argument about the NFL paying for the Wells investigation is?
The jurors in the Hernandez murder trial were paid by the state, but they didn't have to come back with the verdict that the state wanted and could reach their verdict independently. Likewise, Wells and Marlow didn't have to come back with the verdict or finding that the NFL or Goodell wanted and could reach their verdict or finding independently.
So your lame argument has been completely debunked.Nope. Like I said, just as the jurors in the Hernandez murder trial (who were paid a stipend by the state) didn't have to come back with the verdict that the state wanted, Wells didn't have to come back with the verdict that the NFL or Goodell wanted. So still irrelevant. No, a D.A. can't do that. That's jury tampering and is illegal. D.A's don't do that and Goodell didn't do that either. Wells isn't corrupt. Even Robert Kraft himself praised Wells for his independence and integrity when Wells was hired to conduct the independent investigation into DeflateGate. And the fact that Wells cleared Belicheat of any wrongdoing in DeflateGate clearly proves that Wells was unbised and objective in his investigation and his findings. And Professor Marlow isn't corrupt. Professor Marlow is a highly-respected Professor of Physics at a highly-respected Ivy League university. Princeton is 1 of the most prestigious universities in the country so I doubt that they would let someone who is corrupt be the Chairman of their Department of Physics. Anything can defeat Superman as long as the person writing the story says so. If a writer says quantum mechanics combined with comic book technology can hurt Superman, then quantum mechanics combined with comic book technology can hurt Superman. And it's already been written and established through decades of comics that Superman is invulnerable to human techology and weapons. It's similar to how it was established by the writers of Greek mythology that any living creature that looks directly at the face of Medusa turns to stone. That's why Perseus was able to use Medusa to turn the Kraken into stone - because it was already established the writers of Greek mythology that would happen. So we're never going to find another story in Greek mythology where someone looks directly at the face of Medusa and doesn't turn to stone. The 'magic' in this context is the sufficiently advanced technology which no real person can understand because it doesn't have a real basis in science and is thus indistinguishable from magic. Nope. Like I said before, tens of thousands of years ago cavemen wouldn't be able to understand the technology that allows people to communicate on a cell phone with someone several thousand miles away. But that doesn't make cell phones "magical". We know that cell phones are just technology and there's nothing magical about cell phones. Same with the Ant-Man suit. It's just technology and there's nothing magical about it. So since the Ant-Man suit is just technology and no magic and since Superman is invulnerable to human technology and weapons, ergo Superman is invulnerable to the Ant-Man suit. LOLOLOL I like how I can make you type 10x as much as I did in reply. Just because you say it's irrelevant doesn't make it so. It's just an ipse dixit argument. It doesn't work. Exponent's report is scientifically flawed, and that's a fact no analogy can make go away. Marlow's approval of a scientifically flawed report proves he's either incompetent or dishonest. No analogy can make that go away. It doesn't matter who praised or didn't praise Wells before the investigation was done. Everyone's a saint until they ain't. Red lettering doesn't help your argument, it makes you look like a loon. Saying Goodell isn't corrupt is another ipse dixit argument. He's a former Jets employee. He'd had a shit year with Rice and Peterson, he needed someone to punish harshly to repair his reputation. The Patriots provided such an opportunity with the non-scandal. The motivation is clear. Comic book rules are flexible when it suits the story. Kryptonite can hurt Superman. Magic can hurt Superman. Why not Pym particles? See how easy it is? A writer can just say Pym particles give off a small amount of radiation similar to kryptonite. Hell you could even introduce ants mutated by kryptonite and Ant-Man controls them. Their bites hurt Superman and they're immune to his heat vision etc. GG Clark.

Irrelevant. A Public Defender is hired by the state. Does the Public Defender do what the D.A. wants? Nope. Someone has to pay for the salary of the Public Defender. The state takes responsibility for that. But that doesn't mean the Public Defender has to do what the D.A. wants. Likewise, someone has to pay for Marlow's consultation time. The Patriots weren't going to pay. So the NFL took responsibility for that. But that doesn't mean Marlow has to say what the NFL wants him to say. The state pays for the Public Defender (which the defendant isn't able to pay for) to ensure that the defendant gets a fair trial. Likewise, the NFL paid for Marlow's consultation time (which the Patriots weren't going to pay for) to ensure that the investigation is reviewed by a highly-respected independent and unbiased expert. [/p] [/quote] ...... This is beyond illogical. The District Attorney is a department that represents the State in court. Here, it is paid for by the County. City Attorneys represent their City in court cases & are paid by the City Judges, on the other hand, are paid by the state to decide cases. Public Defenders are a county department (here) designed to fulfill the right to an attorney issue. They are paid by the County. Conflict Public Defenders represent cases where there is a conflict of interest in the case for the regular Public Defenders. I believe many of these are not county employees, but are paid a fee by the county. And the Alternate Public Defenders Office is another County office, thus paid by the County. If it has been deemed the defendant might be eligible for probation, the Probation Department interviews the defendant, submitting a report to the Judge. They are paid by the County. Each department represents a specific mission. By your logic, because the state pays the judge, s/he should side with the DA so there would be no need for court hearings.

By your logic, because the state pays the judge, s/he should side with the DA so there would be no need for court hearings. Actually, that's dumb-ass zoilus's logic. Dumb-ass zoilus' logic is that since the state pays the judge, the judge is obligated do rule the way the state wants. My position is that's false. My position is that the state pays the judge only because the judge doesn't work for free so somebody has to foot the bill so the state accepts the responsibility to pay for the judge's salary in order to ensure that the defendant gets a fair and impartial trial. But even though the state pays the judge, my position is that the judge is independent to rule the way the law is and not necessarily the way the state wants. And that was the same with Ted Wels investigation into Brady's cheating in DeflateGate. Nobody is going to spend hundreds of hours conducting an independent investigation for free. Somebody has to foot the bill for the independent investigation so the NFL accepted the responsibility for paying for the independent investigation to ensure that Brady and Belichick got a fair and impartial opportunity to clear themselves of wrongdoing. And Belichick was able to clear himself of wrongdoing because the independent and unbiased investigation team cleared Belichick of any wrongdoing, which conclusively proves that the independent and unbiased investigation team wasn't just giving back a verdict that the NFL wanted but was giving back a verdict that was correct and just, thereby proving that zoilus is wrong about the independent and unbiased investigation team just giving back the verdict that the NFL paid for. Getting cleared of a crime isn't the same as innocent If Belichick paid enough to someone to deflate the balls & keep mum about it, how does one prove it? We consider ourselves a nation of laws. All men are created equal with equal rights so someone has to uphold those laws. The problem is the rich can often buy more equality than the rest of us. Most of my clients see their public defender for 2 minutes before their 10 minute court session. Public Defender says accept the plea bargain because there's no way to guarantee how a jury will go-the defendant could get the max sentence. Judge has read all the reports. Asks for any arguments against how s/he is inclined to rule. Decision reached. More than one of my clients has told me s/he was innocent. I say it's not my place. I enforce court orders. Client wants to go back & admit to lying in court & claiming innocence now, that's up to the client, but perjury would be a new charge.

If Belichick paid enough to someone to deflate the balls & keep mum about it, how does one prove it? The investigator would try to prove it by examining at bank records or any other evidence of a payout. That's how investigators reach their findings - by examining evidence. And that's what the independent and unbiased investigation team did. They examined the evidence objectively and independent of the NFL and they couldn't find evidence implicating Belichick, but they found plenty of evidence proving Brady's guilt.
Even 1 of the judges on the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals who heard the hearing said on the record in open court that "the evidence of ball tampering is compelling". zoilus claims that the NFL and Ted Wells (whom Robert Kraft himself praised for his independence and integrity when he was hired to conduct the independent investigation) and Professor Marlow (a Physics Professor and former Chairman of the Department of Physics at Princeton University) all conspired against Brady, but there's just no way that zoilus or anyone else can claim that an unbiased federal appellate court judge who swore an oath to review evidence objectively and without bias was also part of a conspiracy with people whom he had never met before and to what end? What reason would an unbiased federal appellate court judge who has no affiliation with the NFL have to conspire against Brady? Like I said before, zoilus' arguments are weak and make no sense at all.

Chin doesn't know shit about science either, that's why he took Exponent's conclusions at face value. What makes the conspiracy fairly obvious is the science by Exponent, particularly wet/dry ball pressure curves, and the master/exemplar gauge experiment. The science on those is flawed. That's a fact. If you knew shit about science, you'd understand. But you don't know shit, which leads to you appealing to the authority of whoever says what you want to believe. You lose. As always. Don't forget Chin got scammed by a guy posing as Bernie Madoff. So much for his credibility... abovethelaw.com/2014/07/federal-judge-gets-scammed-by-notorious-serial-litigant/

My conspiracy theory is football is like Pro Wrestling-fake. The NFL picks the winning team each year & the referees make it happen. My husband was a raiders fan & he would bitch at the calls the refs never made. So yeah, sports...not my thing.

I don't watch football. I watch baseball maybe once a year. My daughter cares about the World Cup. This is my "bigfoot" I believe all Americans are allowed to have one conspiracy theory.

I just want to say that I follow football. You know. The sport which actually is about using your feet to move around a ball. Not your hands to move around an egg shaped object. As long as you dont get that straight how seriously can I take you?
Does Superman eat abd therefor have a digestive system? And if he ate anything bad would it make him sick? If so his internal organs would be vunerable to something on earth. I still say that if Ant-man shrunk down inside Superman and blew himself up to Giant-man Supes would be in a thousand pieces.

It's already been established that Ant-Man can't hurt Superman that way.
Just watch the pilot episode of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Luthor put a bomb on the space shuttle. To prevent the bomb from blowing up the shuttle, Superman swallowed the bomb. The bomb exploded inside Superman but did no damage at all to Superman. Superman is invulnerable to Earth technology and Earth weapons. The Ant-Man suit is nothing more than Earth technology so Superman is invulnerable to the Ant-Man suit and can't be hurt by Ant-Man.

You take it entirely too seriously. It's entertainment, not life & death. My late husband dragged me out to Raiders games in the 80s. The game seems like an excuse for the audience to get stupid drunk in the stands. My husband bitched about calls the refs missed against the Chargers while the Chargers fans surrounding us screamed about calls the refs missed against the Raiders. What else is a gal to think but the fix is in? Other than it was a stupid, boring game? Baseball. Basketball. Volleyball. Played them. Get them. Roller games & horse races-watched them as a child in the 60s on tv Football-they run for a minute, then stop. Run for a minute, stop again. Someone gets carted off the field.

Because you said it it is the truth? Not because I said so. Because it was on the TV show. That's why it's the truth (backed up by actual evidence from the show) and not speculation by some nutjob. He is growing superfast. Like an inyernal explosion. An internal explosion? You mean, like a bomb that Superman swallowed and that exploded inside Superman. And which did no damage at all to Superman. Since he is flesh and blood he would die. Its as simple as that. Since Superman is flesh and blood, you would think a simple handgun and bullet would be enough to kill Superman. Or how about running over Superman with a locomotive? Nope, none of those things can kill Superman. Because Superman is invulnerable to Earth weapons and Earth technology, like the Ant-Man suit, which is nothing more than Earth technology. Supes is soup when Ant-man is through with him. Nope. Like the TV show already established, the Ant-Man suit wouldn't do any more damage to Superman than the bomb that Superman swallowed and that exploded inside Superman. Bottom line: I've already provided proof that clearly shows that the Ant-Man suit is incapable of doing any damage or harm to Superman. SO unless you have actual proof and not just speculation from a nutjob that the Ant-Man suit can hurt Superman, then you have no argument. YOU LOSE!

My husband bitched about calls the refs missed against the Chargers while the Chargers fans surrounding us screamed about calls the refs missed against the Raiders. The most blatant example was in 2001 when the Raiders went to New England and defeated the Patriots in a playoff game. But then the refs reversed the Raiders' playoff win over the Patriots and gave the Patriots a chance to tie the game and win in overtime. But I'm sure the fact that former Raiders' owner AL Davis had previously sued the NFL had nothing to do with the refs reversing a Raiders' playoff win over the Patriots, right?

I hold Thor beats Supes on the strength of being a being of magic But Ant-Man is technology so he's strong against technology. Opinions about fictional beings is that-opinion. Ultimately it would depend on the versions involved-Pym, Lang, etc. But logically Ant-Man vs Supes should be a Supes win. Ant-Man vs tech like Cyborg or Bats-Antman has a chance, particularly if he can get in & do significant damage before he is noticed. Like cut the brakes on the Batmobile.
