To quote Doctor Strange: "Then you lack imagination." You honestly think you can't do a story about diversity and persecution with aliens? And you apparently don't think a character driven story can be done with them, either. Wow. Just wow. You really do lack imagination. No wonder you can't appreciate the lengths the MCU is going to be unique. And Blade came out in 1998. Its the true pioneer that led to them. They deserve no credit. Of course you'd say the MCU hasn't gone full-on weird. Anything to marginalize the franchise, right? Thank you for showing that you weren't looking past the surface of either Doctor Strange and Thor. Why do they need aliens??? Magneto, the Sentinels and Apocalypse are all from the comics but you're hung up on aliens. Why? Justice League and The Avengers are fighting aliens in their movies. How many fucking aliens do we need in these movies? Also, I do like Doctor Strange and Thor. I own the blu Rays and enjoy them often. But deep movies they ain't. The character arcs are rather weak. And nope, I am not marginalizing the franchise. There's 15 MCU movies. Some I love. Some I don't. Also, I notice you've completely the part where i said they didn't need to make Cyclops such a wet blanket to make Wolverine the lead.

However, the option should still be open because it allows them to shake things up, but of course FOx and Singer will never allow the status quo to be shaken up in their franchise. It's always going to be the same old " MUTANTS ARE INNOCENT PRECIOUS LITTLE SNOWFLAKES AND EVERYONE WHO ISN'T A MUTANT IS EVIL AND TOTALLY PERSECUTING THEM!" Do something else for a change. They're deeper than the X-Men films. Actually, no, the character arcs are strong. Sorry. Selective perception at its finest. Magneto in DOFP and XMA admitted he screwed Mutants over.

That is every X-Men film ever and it'll be the next eight as well. They'll never do anything truly different. They lack the balls. Get back to me when Xavier's stepbrother shows up, hulked out by the Gem of Cyttorak.

I do however understand why Wolvie was made the lead instead. I wish the sequels had given more to Cyclops, a lot more, and it bugs me everytime I watch the series. I HATE that they gave him limited screen time in X2. And I really fucking hate that they kill him in movie three. On this maybe we agree...

That sucked, too.

I actually didn't care for Apocalypse very much at all. I'm not really interested in the new cast outside of First Class and DoFP.

And yet he'll be right back to his old ways the next time he appears. We've gone through this song and dance with Magneto several times in the comics, but he always goes back to terrorism. Its nothing new by any stretch of the imagination. Like I said, the next eight X-Men films will be all the same, just like their predecessors. Get back to me when Xavier's stepbrother shows up, hulked out by the Gem of Cyttorak.

And he'll be a villain again by next year, because things always revert to the way they used to be in comics. Don't even kid yourself with thinking it'll stick. As for the movies: Get back to me when Xavier's stepbrother shows up, hulked out by the Gem of Cyttorak.

Force Ghost Ackbar, you can blame James Marsden for bailing on X-Men 3 for Superman Returns. He was supposed to have a much bigger role. They had to compensate for him somehow. So... kill him, use Jean's other love interest, Wolverine instead. IMO, they properly adapted Wolverine to that story.

And Marsden was right to bail after the script for X3 became three movies in one.

weirdraptor, you really do have a paranoid victim complex. How can any MCU fan ever feel persecuted by criticism?? Marvel Studios is backed by Disney for crying out loud. They are the winners and in some cases, the bullies in this contest. The only reason you're getting childish, petty and insecure about this whole thing is because secretly, deep down, you know we're right. You know the DOFP Quicksilver is far more timeless than any single MCU film so far, and you secretly resent Marvel for it.

weirdraptor, I'm still waiting for all those reasons why X-Men 3 is a terrible film and I'm not talking about how they adapted the comics. I'm talking about the film from a technical angle, just as you would analyze Lawrence of Arabia versus Plan 9.

If you can't figure it out from 11 years worth of analysis and reviews done about it, I don't know what to say. You really are thick. For one thing, The Phoenix Saga, Magneto's Brotherhood army, and The Mutant Cure should all have been separate movies. Not one.
