Mine is Mad Men. Great and accurate period piece and great characters and cast (Especially Don+Peggy), but absolutely nothing really going on. I have seen tv shows that more happen in 1 season than the entire Mad Men seasons( all 7) combined?I have never been so bored in my life. You should only watch it if you lived during this period and know all the references, otherwise you will be lost half the time. The series finale was atrocious too. Characters and the period setpieces and references are all all this show really has.
I really really wanted to like it and while some critics claim its one of the best series, others say its an overrated snoozefest. I am forced to agree with the latter. I wouldnt recommend it.
Has anyone else ever seen totally overated shows before?

For me its 13 reasons why The first episodes I was praising it snd thought this is the bomb, the best teen series ever but as the episodes advanced it got boring and seems like the story was just going in circles with very little interesting things happening.
I was really disappointed at that series and even more because at the beginning I was enjoying it the premise was pretty good but the execution horrible. I get sooo angry when stuff like that happens.

The Wire. First of all, if you don't consider it the greatest show ever made, it's automatically overrated because so many do. On top of that, when the show is good, it's really good, but you still have two bad seasons out of five to contend with.
I also found Stranger Things way overhyped. Okay, two brothers stuck everything they liked from their childhood in a blender. So? Nothing new came out, just mushed up versions of ET and Stephen King.

OMG I knew something was dull about The Wire. it . Once I saw how boring the pilot was, deep down I knew . Thats why I didnt keep watching . When was the last great show you ever heard of with a bad Pilot? It never happens. The pilot is supposed to entice you to watch more episodes. The Wire's pilot didnt for me. And I heard it took 2 seasons for it to get good. Whens the last time you ever heard a boring show lasting that long? if it was on regular cable it wouldn't have lasted as long as it did. HBO must have bankrolled it and kept it going longer than it should have so it didn't get cancelled. Maybe HBO shows are all paid for up front( since there are no commercials -and thus- no sponsors to pay for the series) Remember the line in Pulp Fiction : Jules: Well, the way they pick TV shows is, they make one show. That show's called a pilot. Then they show that one show to the people who pick shows, and on the strength of that one show they decide if they want to make more shows. Some get chosen and become television programs. Some don't, become nothing.Thank you for confirming my suspicions about The Wire. I wont waste my time with it now.

Well, like I said, when the show is good, it's really good. Season 3 and especially 4 are amazing. But 2 is a snooze and I think even fans dislike 5. I just feel you can't be the greatest show ever with that kind of inconsistency.

13 Reasons Why. I hated this show and I still have no idea what all the hype was about.

Sick of getting disappointed.Every one of my fav shows either starts great and stays great, or starts great and gets worse as time goes by. Either way ,they start great so it gains my loyalty as a fan. Thats how it should be. I just cant sit thru 2 crappy seasons before it gets good. No matter what good things I hear , I just cant bring myself to go back to it. Maybe its for the best. There are other shows out there that deserve my loyalty.

Breaking Bad
It's well-shot, well acted, and they do righteously adhere to the set design aesthetic they were going for, but it's full of so many contrivances and convenient plot developments that it's kind of hard to take seriously the way people claim it should be.
Better Call Saul is actually much better imo.

For me, by far, the most overrated series EVER was Mash. Never found it funny, detested Alan Alda in all his smirky smarminess, and never liked Radar or Hot Lips or even Frank. That it was on the air for eleven years just amazes me.

However, I don't recall a bad season of The Wire.

The Marvel Netflix series.
The best of them are merely OK and the worst of them are truly horrible.

That it was on the air for eleven years just amazes me. The fact there were only three broadcast networks during the time it aired. And out of the cable networks that currently exist, only a minimum of ten (and not much more) existed when M*A*S*H ended.

Game of Thrones. Sibling sex and dragons and all of a sudden it's the greatest show on TV? Please.
