One night traveling merchant Craft Lawrence finds what at first appears to be an unclothed young woman sleeping in his cart. Turns out that she's really Holo, a wolf deity who wishes for Lawrence to help her return to the land of her birth now that people no longer need her. The series follows them on their journey north, with much of the drama coming from the economic conditions Lawrence faces as he plies his trade. Lawrence is a rather modest fellow but a skilled trader, and Holo, as one would expect from a deity, is a bit arrogant and full of herself. She often likes to remind Lawrence that she is Holo the Wise Wolf. She has a fondness for apples and alcoholic drinks. In the first season, their growing friendship resembles that of a brother and sister, but in the second season, their relationship slowly evolves into something deeper. But the economics is the star of the series. As one reviewer on IMDb put it: "Come for the wolf-girl, stay for the economics." IMDb rating: 7.9/10 from 4300+ raters.

I've considered giving it a shot since BobSamurai gave it a good review. But I'm personally not a fan of the anthros with just animal ears. I might try out the first episode and see if I like that.

I've seen the first three episodes. It is decent so far. The art isn't as interesting as the plot, but the plot's good enough to stick with it so far.
