A store with a great salad bar that I routinely visit not only recently raised the price per pound (which is how they charge you for your SB selections) but also removed several items that they've carried for years: no more tuna salad, egg salad, orzo salad, or shell pasta salad w/ shrimp, plus some Indian dishes whose names escape me. Possibly a few other things have been eliminated, too. I take it having these items cuts into their profit margins, so they removed them. It's a shame, because it makes the salad bar way less appealing to me - the orzo and shell pasta salads were 2 of my favorites. Such are the times.

Holy cow! We really like that too. Haven't bought any for awhile though. Grocery totals are almost double for whatever I buy now each week. :-(

I don't believe I've ever had aerosol cheese or seen it in operation.
I think a lot of places simplified menus and reduced the number of prepared items due to labor issues.

Don't like salad bars, too many people sneezing or coughing on the food or little kids sticking their fingers in things - also I would be afraid I would get someone's booger in my food.
