I watched Breaking Bad faithfully, though I felt they didn't advance the story fast enough. By the time they were killing some drug runner, I forgot who he was!
Now Better Call Saul has been on hiatus. They come back with a few episodes and take a break.
I am not watching the rest.
Anyone else feel like this? thanks!

Nope I’m fully caught up and it’s one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. If it keeps this pace going, it’ll be better than Breaking Bad (which is one of my favorite forms of any media of all time) by the time its last few episodes air.
Stick with it. It’s very much worth it. This mid-season finale for season 6 was a doozy. Wish I had someone to talk about it with, but no one else seems to be watching it!

Though I will admit I see no point in this six week hiatus in the middle of the season. Just keep the momentum rolling.

Im late to the BCS party but when I tried to get into it years ago I was too burnt out on BB to get much traction. Luckily Im all in at the moment and have binged 3 full seasons since Christmas.
Im currently at the beginning few episodes of season 4. I took a quick episode break to rewatch Sauls first episode in Breaking Bad and was surprised just how many elements are mentioned. Francesca is the same, of course, but he mentions one of his partner companies is Ice Station Zebra something or other...an obvious link to Kims favorite film. Also I couldn't place it but he asked Badger to have him written a check for 4,650 dollars or something and I know Ive heard that number already in BCS. I feel like theres a million little links that I plan on looking up once Im all finished to avoid spoilers.
Having a great time with the show. Hopefully they put season 6 on netflix sometime before im done.

Season 6 just got put on Netflix, so over three years after watching season 5, I finally finished the series.
Like a lot of people, I was shocked in the early seasons at how this seeming cashgrab spinoff of a tv show no one asked for was better than it had any right to be. It felt like BrBa never left. Unfortunately, I think BCS went on a bit too long. There's no reason a prequel to Brba should have more seasons than BrBa. That's like making four Hobbit movies. I can't remember a single thing that happens in season 4 and there's no reason they couldn't have condensed the content of season 5 and 6 to where the show ended the same time BrBa did.
Part of the issue is trying to give us two prequels for the price of one - one is Better Call Saul, and while there was a lot of wheel spinning waiting for Jimmy McGill to become Saul Goodman, I liked that show. The other prequel was The Whacky Adventures of Mike and Gus, and while it was intermittently interesting, the farther that show got away from Jimmy/Saul, the less invested I became. Especially in the case of Nacho, a character I never once came to care about.
While I'm doing a lot of complaining, it never stopped being a good show. Just think it could have been a great one if they kept it tighter and the focus on the titular character.
As far as the last season goes, I liked it. I did like the second half more than the first, in which they basically dropped the Mike/Gus/Nacho B plot like a hot potato. I also really liked all the flashforward episodes with Saul doing petty scams in Omaha. Ironically, for as stretched thin as the story was, they could have done a whole season of that stuff. The finale was...also good. I did kind of have mixed feelings about why Saul did what he did, but eh.
