Maybe half of them will perish in the first act. I think the Guardians will only be in the first 5-10 minutes of the movie. They basically show the scene where Thor leaves them in the trailer (on SAKAAR). I think 10 minutes in is a pretty good guess. It probably coincides with the story’s inciting incident.

This may be a stupid question, but i don`t care
Is the Jane Foster in this movie the same character as in the previous Thor movies, or is it a Jane Foster from a alternative universe?

I guess it's certainly possible that it's Jane Foster from another universe, but judging by her conversation with Thor about how long they've been broken up it seems to indicate this is the exact same Jane Foster that Thor had a relationship with. But... that's just my guess.

This is pretty clearly the same Jane Foster from the previous movies.

I can't shake this image that Thor is being transformed into a cosmic version of Zohan.

I can't shake this image that Thor is being transformed into a cosmic version of Zohan. I've been avoiding these clips so I can actually enjoy the movie for the first time when I see it in theaters, but I'm glad I watched that. I need time to prepare myself for the idiocy of those splits. There's a limit to how ridiculous you can make Thor before I can't take it anymore. That's Looney Tunes level stuff right there. My only hope is that's not real, it's part of a story Korg is telling. I'm 80% certain that's the case, but you just never know anymore.

I've always been fine with MCU movies having quite a lot of humor... but it needed to be the right kind of humor. This cartoony, almost meta kind of humor is a rabbit hole that will end up making their movie look like a parody. And can't quite get onboard with that.
I didn't consider that this might simply be Korg telling his story of the space viking, but now that you mention it that does give me hope. Let's just hope you're right.

Which clip are you talking about? The one I posted above. That’s what I thought but Rey was specifically talking about it maybe being part of Korg’s story. And the video you posted is basically a mini trailer. Sounded like he was talking about a specific scene.

Yeah I was talking about the scene where Thor does the splits. Oh. Okay. I didn’t notice that the first time I watched it. Even that bro-handshake at the end is a bit much for me. I mean, if it's just one or two scenes then that's fine, but if that's how Thor will be behaving for the entire movie then it's a complete deal breaker for me.

I’m absolutely preparing myself for this one doubling down on the Ragnorock style. Going in expecting anything else will lead to disappointment. Personally I can get on board with it because Hemsworth is way funnier to me than anyone else in the MCU. But my ideal version of MCU Thor is the Infinity War version, where he’s a little goofy but still a competent respectable character first and foremost.

Yeah I'm wary of that. The character did become more popular after Ragnarok/Infinity War and after incorporating a lot more humour into the character.
They've gotta be careful they don't go too overboard on that. He doesn't need to be turned into some dumb goofy strong guy like Goku or something.
Infinity War Thor was great. They had the perfect balance there.

Brandon Davis - ComicBook.com
#ThorLoveAndThunder is absolutely electrifying. My favorite #Thor movie of the four. Taika Waititi through and through. It’s mature, the soundtrack rocks, and there’s great surprises. So much fun. Feels like the best of MCU Phase 1 and Phase 4 in one entry. Loved it.
Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, aka #MightyThor, is just such a home run. Her whole story here is powerful and fulfilling. Christian Bale is creepy good as #Gorr. He could’ve benefitted from a little more screen time but lands really well. Great villain.
Kristen Acuna - Insider
Christian Bale is phenomenally menacing as #ThorLoveandThunder’s villain, Gorr the God Butcher. One of the creepiest Marvel villains we’ve ever seen on screen. Gave me some Dark Knight Ledger Joker vibes at one point.
Wow!! #ThorLoveandThunder is great! The best entry in Phase 4 behind Shang-Chi and No Way Home. I laughed. I cried. Then I laughed and cried some more, in that order. Natalie Portman is FINALLY given her due. Dr. Jane Foster is more than worthy of being the Mighty Thor.
Kaitlyn Booth - Bleeding Cool
So, #ThorLoveAndThunder, I have Thoughts and Feelings, a lot of which are spoilers, some of them I'm not happy about. What I can talk about is something that the thing that made #ThorRagnarok such a breath of fresh air was how different it was from the other movies. (see thread for more)
Griffin Schiller - FilmSpeak
#ThorLoveAndThunder just cemented itself as one of my favorite MCU films. Bursting w/so much heart, emotion & sincerity, I teared up, I smiled from ear to ear. This film is a warm hug & plea to cherish the present, live in the moment do something that matters. I adore this film!
But the beating heart of this film is #Thor & #JaneFoster. I mean my god, the romance was so real, so relatable, I felt every moment of it, the passion. Might be my 2nd fav MCU romance bc of how genuine it was & the actors deliver their best performances as these heroes.
Beautifully blends humor & heart in all the right places & Christian Bale’s #Gorr arrives as a top tier MCU villain (possibly the best?) who’s arc packs an emotional wallop in the climax. He’s fiendish & terrifying yet incredibly sympathetic. GREAT antagonist!
Germain Lussier - Gizmodo
#ThorLoveAndThunder is like what I imagine living in the mind of Taika Waititi might be like. It’s wild, funny, a little all over the place in the middle but by the end it all comes together in a surprising, touching, satisfying way. So much Guns n Roses too. So much.
Clayton Davis - Variety
#ThorLoveAndThunder is much more episodic than I would have suspected. Delivers big laughs. Very standard, cookie cutter villain with Christian Bale. I want the buddy cop comedy with Natalie Portman & Tessa Thompson. Matt Damon must go Broadway. Post credits are EPIC! Pure fun.
Scott Menzel - We Live Entertainment
#ThorLoveAndThunder has very high highs & very low lows. It’s very Taika Waititi and is tonally all over the place. That said, the second half is way better than the first and I really loved what Christian Bale brought to the table. Also, Natalie Portman is fantastic as expected.
Eric Italiano - Bro Bible
#ThorLoveAndThunder is the funniest film in the MCU. The jokes are excellent as is the cast delivering them. Christian Bale, obviously, is also terrifying as #Gorr BUT, the plot felt flat and stakeless. Not sure if that's a #Thor problem or an MCU-without-a-big-bad problem.
Erik Davis
Another classic Thor adventure! #ThorLoveAndThunder is everything I wanted it to be. Big, colorful, weird Guns N' Roses-fueled battles to go w/ a hopelessly romantic story about discovering love in unexpected places. Christian Bale & Russell Crowe are especially great. And Korg!
Joey Magidson - Awards Radar
Thor: Love and Thunder is a fun, tight, and largely self contained Marvel adventure. If not quite as much of a surprise as Ragnarok, this is more evidence that Taika Waititi knows how to make Thor a blast. Heart/humor mix again to make for a real good time.
LaughingPlace.com
#ThorLoveAndThunder is nonstop ridiculous fun! It’s hilarious and action-packed and just a totally crazy theatrical experience. The phenomenal cast does an outstanding job and this movie packs a few surprises. Definitely don’t miss this one!
Rachel Leishman - The Mary Sue
holy shit. #ThorLoveandThunder is the perfect blend of taika at his best with comedy and a punch to the gut all in one. i left this movie emotionally satisfied while also sobbing and just perfection. we stan a dad rock soundtrack. in the words of my new favorite characters: AHH
Lyra Hale - REMEZCLANatalie Portman's performance in #ThorLoveAndThunder is exceptional. Also, watching Dr. Jane Foster transform into this hero...it's what I want for all women on my screen. I want that complexity. And Portman and Taika Waititi helped bring that forward. You'll love her. Promise.
Jenna Busch - Vital Thrills
I LOVED #THORLOVEANDTHUNDER!!! It was hysterical and stunning and full of so much heart! I am so happy to tell you all how awesome it was! Also, the goats are my favorite characters! The film was pure joy!
Jacob Kleinman - Inverse
I saw #ThorLoveAndThunder. It can't quite match the visual or comedy bombast of Ragnarok, but Taika Waititi makes up for it with an emotionally mature Marvel movie. It's also very funny (Natalie's got jokes) and features one of the most stunning visual sequences in MCU history.
Simon Thompson
#ThorLoveAndThunder is a vivid and vibrant blast that delivers. Hemsworth’s Thor remains a jewel in Marvel’s crown. Bale’s Gorr is a killer boogeyman blending the campy and the creepy. Portman’s Foster and Thompson’s Valkyrie are a top notch pairing. Crowe’s Zeus is *chef’s kiss*
Eric Goldman
I am very happy with #ThorLoveAndThunder! I don’t think it’s quite as great as Ragnarok, but it comes incredibly close and actually has some aspects that outshine it. Taika Waititi continues to be a perfect fit for these movies and Hemsworth and Portman are so good together.
Scott Mantz
THOR: LOVE & THUNDER is a TOTAL BLAST! Even BETTER than “RAGNAROK,” and one of the BEST MCU MOVIES! #ChrisHemsworth is a friggin’ ROCK STAR & #NataliePortman is a TOTAL BADASS! Director #TaikaWaititi has done it again! #ThorLoveAndThunder IS AWESOME!
Hector Navarro - Nerdist
#ThorLoveAndThunder is rad as hell. Taika Waititi delivered a perfect remix of Marvel comics I deeply love. It was super funny, ridiculously exciting, and genuinely inspirational. I'm very, very happy Natalie Portman returned. Can't wait to see it again (in 3D)!
Amanda Taylor - YouTuber
Thor Love And Thunder is the best comedy to come out of the MCU. It has Taika’s signature style ALL over it! I laughed, I cried, and then I laughed some more. What an amazing film! #thor #ThorLoveAndThunder
Courtney Howard - Variety
#ThorLoveAndThunder has an Appetite For Destruction & laughs. It’s totally rad! Taika Waititi delivers a subversive, irreverent spectacle. Great story, stakes & character-building. Chris Hemsworth & Natalie Portman, superb.Russell Crowe & Christian Bale slip easily into the world
The Illuminerdi
#ThorLoveAndThunder is everything great about comic book movies! Truly hilarious insanity, heart wrenching tragedy, and bombastic action! Visually stunning and one of the best MCU soundtracks. The entire cast is fantastic, but Christian Bale and Natalie Portman are phenomenal!

The only thing I'm timid about is Christian Bale seemingly fish out of water. He's been such a commanding presence on-screen, I'm curious how he'll mesh in a Taika movie. That bias for me may take a couple viewings.
