The rib tickling brutality of James Howlett's final ride is now presented in monochrome. Looks nice but shooting on actual B&W film stock seems a lost skill now. If anything, the violence seems muted in this color deprived edition.

I think there's also a noir/monochrome version of Mad Max: Fury Road.

While I don't like the idea of calling a BW version of Logan "noir," since it invites incorrect assumptions among the general population that Logan is now in the film noir genre, I suppose if it gets even one person to try watching an older BW film, it's okay with me.

I don't understand how making a film black and white makes it "noir"

I bought the Blu-Ray version yesterday (I don't know why) and it had the supposed "Noir" version included. It looked okay. There's not much to it, I guess they just literally made it black and white.
The actual movie, though, is still great!

The black & white version takes away from all the bloodshed imo . This is a brutal film that needs to be seen in color. Re watched it last night and I gotta say its the best film of 2017 (so far at least) . Gonna be tough to top
