Fun game out in LA. Dodgers put up a 4 spot against David Peterson in the 2nd, Mets storm right back and score 4 of their own in the 3rd to take a 5-4 lead. A 2 run shot from Alonso knocked Buehler out early.

Yeah!! Alonso with a 3 run homer to give the Mets the 9-4 lead. Pete’s got 53 RBI. Baseball is fun again!

Mike Trout is zero for his last 23 ab's. 10 games ago, he was hitting .328. Now he's hitting .278. And the Halo's are 0-10 in those 10 games. What a bum. Send him down to Salt Lake City.

Just came home. Heard the Yankees-Tigers tied 4-4 8th inning. Turned on YES-Network. They showed WNBA. I switched to FOX Sports, ESPN, MLB Network, WPIX, not on any of the channels. I look into Amazon Prime and Apple TV, nope. I checked the internet. It is on Peacock online. Never heard of this online channel. I have to pay $4.99 to watch it? No thank you.

I've sent a few terse e mails to MLB about this rotten policy of farming out the games to shit services like Peacock and Apple TV. No one is going to cough up money just to watch a game or two on these services. And it really pisses me off that someone like me, who has forked over the subscription to Extra Innings for years, can't watch these games. Never got more than a "thank you for your blah blah blah" bullshit.
How much longer will it be until playoff games go to Peacock or Apple? A World Series game?

I really hope MLB wouldn't be that stupid. Bad enough the NHL does it (or did, maybe thingS'll change now that ESPN has the rights, they may go to ABC.) But if they get paid more, we're screwed.

This enrages me as well, I’m not paying more to watch a few games, and I get the MLB package as well where I can see every game and it pisses me off that I can’t see certain games. I hope they never start making you pay to watch playoff games.

Apple TV is the one I don't understand. Peacock does have a lot of sports programming, mostly Soccer. They also have golf, tennis, Indy Car. It's the successor to NBC Sports. I don't have Apple TV so I don't know what they have other than an occasion baseball game. Rumors have it that Apple is going to throw a ton of money at the NFL to get the lions share of the TV package.

A 2 run shot from Alonso knocked Buehler out early. Peterson run support is becoming the anti-deGrom. Mets offense goes nuts whenever he pitches.
There was a weird moment late in the game (probably top of 9th) when Dave Roberts (urgh!!!) tried to used a position player to pitch when down only 9-4 ( ). WTF, I mean the game was not out of reach. I think it was Showalter who pointed out the rule that a positional player can only pitch when down by 6 runs or more. Umpire insisted someone from the Dodgers bullpen to come in to pitch when no one was warming up. The Dodgers bullpen coach went berzerk. Finally got someone warm up very fast to come in the game. What a wild scene. That is a problem of running out of pitchers when managers like Dave Robers or Dave Cash use the bullpen like popping popcorn into the mouth.

The Angels awful bullpen blows a save and they lose their 11th game in a row and have a losing record now.
Fishies split a 4 game series with the Giants in Miami.

Yep, they are in a free fall. I just wonder if they can turn it around and get back to being a good team or if this will be another year they disappoint and miss the playoffs.

Many thought this was the do or die year for the Angels. Oakland traded everyone who could play, Houston lost Carlos Correa and Lance McCullers (injury) so the division might be there for he taking. The rotation looked a lot better with Thor Syndergaard and rookie Reid Detmers to contemplate Two Way Shohei.
Their next series is at home vs. the much improved Red Sox. They get swept and the season might be over.

I'm never going to say anyone's season is over after the Braves last year. Except the Pirates. They're season is over opening day.
