The Carmine Hosed warriors of the Diamond sweep the White Elephant Mackmen that were in Oakland. The invasion of the Left Coast continues Monday with a trip to the City of Light to battle the Halo topped batsmen of Tinseltown.
Red Sox make .500 for he first time since April 22nd (7-7 record). The bullpen is still troubling. The rotation is doing well, very well, but can they keep it up. I'd like to see them get a big bat. Josh Bell from Washington is a great fit, current 1b Bob Dalbec is hitting .177. And a starter hold a spot and move Garrett Whitlock to closer. Kills two bird with one stone. Frankie Montas from Oakland would fit the bill nicely.

Yankees 39-15, projecting to 117-45.
Best since the 2001 Seattle Mariners who were 42-12 at the 1/3 season pole.

Their starting pitching is out of this world. It was expected to be a weakness, other than Old King Cole. Where the hell did Nestor Cortes come from? Looie Severino looks to be all the way back from the injuries. I never thought Jameson Taillon would be anything more that a #5 starter. The worst numbers for a Yank starter is Jordan Montgomery. 3.02 ERA, 1.006 WHIP. Not fair.

You know Stanton and Judge will hit the IL a few times. Not many Yankees pitchers available in my league. Just picked up Tail-on shrimp - 2 start pitcher this week. Seeing anything from Michael King? Holds are as good as wins.

Holds are as good as wins. That Mariners team blew a 12 runs lead and lost to the Indians in a game. That was not a good sign for that team coming up big. I rather compare this years Yankees to the 1998 Yankees. Despite the record, I don't think this team is as good as that Yankees team yet. You know what I like about this team? There are many more goes for the hit than for the wall. Isiah Kiner-Falefa & Josh Donaldson are an excellent pick up. I am not that crazy about having Joey Gallo back. Clay Holmes and Michael King are incredible in the bullpen. I trust them more than Chapman at this time. The starting pitchers, yeah, out of this world solid. The worst of the five, Montgomery is not that bad either. He has been pitching in lots of bad luck with low run support.

While people can rightfully mock the Yankees right field distance, their pitchers have to pitch there too. If their pitching staff has that good of numbers, that's damn impressive.

Escobar hits for the cycle, Carrasco goes 7 strong, Mets with another impressive victory as they take the series opener, 11-5 in San Diego. 3 straight wins after dropping the first two of the west coast swing. Historically, this is where the season has typically gone awry. Not so, thus far…
The bullpen could use some reinforcements, but they are doing so well in every other department that it makes up for it.

Escobar hits for the cycle. I wonder if anyone who hit for the cycle got the triple by being thrown out at home trying for an inside-the-parker.

Now that make me wonder, how many times a team with a no-hitter and a cycle in the same year? I don't remember off-hand with the two NY teams before this. Could have happened with the other teams.

Just came home. Heard the Yankees-Tigers tied 4-4 8th inning. Turned on YES-Network. They showed WNBA. I switched to FOX Sports, ESPN, MLB Network, WPIX, not on any of the channels. I look into Amazon Prime and Apple TV, nope. I checked the internet. It is on Peacock online. Never heard of this online channel. I have to pay $4.99 to watch it? No thank you. I've sent a few terse e mails to MLB about this rotten policy of farming out the games to shit services like Peacock and Apple TV. No one is going to cough up money just to watch a game or two on these services. And it really pisses me off that someone like me, who has forked over the subscription to Extra Innings for years, can't watch these games. Never got more than a "thank you for your blah blah blah" bullshit.
How much longer will it be until playoff games go to Peacock or Apple? A World Series game?
Just remember someone said, don't remember who though, few years ago that MLB is terrible at promotion. Everyone know who Lebron James and Tom Brady are. When ordinary people don't know the name of the best player at the time, Mike Trout, that is a problem. I think they could have done a better job showcasing Ohtani or Judge or Betts. Now they put the most watched team away from TV (at least every Friday night), that is a dumb Don King/Mike Tyson type of move that could kill baseball.

Jazz Chisholm with a grand slam for the Fishies and we have a 5-0 lead over the Nats!! The trade that brought Jazz to Miami will be really interesting to see who wins it in the long run. The Marlins have a lot of pitching depth and didn't really need Zac Gallen but he could sneak into a Cy Young award this year. 4-1, 2.40 ERA, .959 WHIP. Gaudy numbers. Jazz is a sparkplug but needs to juice up his batting average.

So far I’m satisfied with the trade - we’ve got a fairly deep rotation and Jazz is a good player to have as a hitter, he brings a lot of energy to the team and is a fan favorite as well. He’s been in a slump lately but has come out of it tonight, 2 dingers and 6 RBI’s tonight.

Jays 8-2 in last 10... Yankees 8-2 the same... still 7 games ahead.
I swear, I just did this with the Raptors season, eking out of the play-in for 17000 weeks.

Yu Darvish's crazy home-road splits strike again: 1.35 ERA at home, 5.82 on the road.
