Should I watch "Hiroshima Mon Amour" or "Last Year in Marienbad" to mark the occasion?
"Hiroshima.." I watched once, more than 20 years ago, and loved it.
"Marienbad" I am not sure I ever watched in its entirety. I have a vague recollection of starting it but not finishing.

Last Year at Marienbad, instantly became one of my all time favorite films the first time I saw it (mid 90s). I've since rewatched it at least three times
Hiroshima Mon Amour I've watched once, not long after the first time I saw Marienbad and quite liked it, but I think my expectations were a little high. Probably due a rewatch.
Cant' go wrong with either. Maybe Marienbad as you're unsure you've even seen it.

I loved Hiroshima mon amour. Didn’t care for Marienbad, although I did enjoy the game that guy was playing with the matches.
Providence and Night & Fog are great films, too.
