Bild says Dortmund turned down an offer of 120m € yesterday. They say Dortmund want 150m, now and not in terms of bonus payments. Apparently Dortmund have to pay 25% of the transfer revenue to Rennes. E: Maybe Kampl isn't really that far fetched, on second thought. But if Leverkusen lose Kampl, too, they are done for.

120m for Dembele?

Yes, 90m now and 30m add-ons (no information on what conditions, though. Probably unrealistic ones).
They should set a deadline now, this is a dangerous gamble. They could end up with 150m and no player on August 31st, Wolfsburg style.

Kicker says now Dembele is still on strike, refuses contact with any BVB employee. They say the first offer was 85m + 20m in add-ons. Asking price still 150m, and so far, no improved offer has arrived. Sky quotes the 90m Bild quoted and says, this is Barcelona's limit.

Even 90 mill plus the bonus is more than he is worth - no matter how much the Neymar-deal has increased the benchmark-prices.
He is a talent far below the Pogba-class.
120m is more the Griezmann-leugea imho.
60-70...not more. But by now it is also a question of principles and self-respect for the Borussia. If they don't want to become a spineless laughing stock in Europe...

Dortmund have extended Dembele's suspension until further notice. He is allowed to train individually. Will miss the season start against Wolfsburg.

Dortmund have extended Dembele's suspension until further notice. He is allowed to train individually. Will miss the season start against Wolfsburg. The generosity of Dortmund knows no bounds. It's over now, no turning back from that, you have to let him go, but if he ever shows his face again, you boo him like you've never booed before. That will show him.

He's done that before, in Rennes, when he tried to force a move to RB Salzburg. He even threatened to retire for good Didn't work out, Rennes didn't sell him, and after a while he was back to normal again. Either Barcelona stump up the money Dortmund ask for, or he stays. I just don't know whether they'll be content with 120m plus add-ons, or whether they're gonna play real hardball, like they did with Hummels and Mkhitaryan. And I wonder why they haven't set a deadline yet.

I haven't seen much of him, but he looks like a great player to me. Now it has to be about squeezing as much juice as you can out of Barcelona's Neymar kitty. Not sure of the wisdom behind suspending him from a negotiating point of view.

The suspension is probably more about not further unsettling the team, especially as Aubameyang posted on Insta today that he wants out, too.
I have a feeling that for Watzke Dembele's strike isn't that unwelcome. Now he has a reason for selling at the right price. Without that strike I don't know how he could have explained that to the fans, especially with the arch nemesis Leipzig refusing to sell. Finishing behind them last season was bad enough. Now, the general opinion whether to sell or not seems very divided.

Dembele already packing bags and suitcases?
This is going to be fun the next two weeks.

Simon Falette from Metz to Frankfurt
Jeremy Toljan from Hoffenheim to Dortmund. So, that means another one gone.
Apparently Frankfurt are also signing Kevin-Prince Boateng. Absolutely no idea why; took Schalke long enough to get rid; typical Freddy Bobic crackpot idea.

Bild just published another update on Dembele. They say that Dembele is still on strike and will continue until August 31st if necessary. No contact to anyone at BVB, whether employees or players, not even to his buddy Aubameyang. According to Bild, he's left Dortmund for France.
Bild says there have been no new offers from Barca, and the BVB is unwilling to enter another round of negotiations. Either Barca stump up 150m until the end of the transfer window, or he stays.
Also saying Dortmund bosses are convinced that there will be a "soundless reintegration" into the team, in case he stays.

Benedikt Höwedes is apparently on his way out of Schalke. Schalke's new coach took the captaincy from him; thought the minute I read it this is not a good idea.
In talks with a couple of Premier League clubs, according to Bild. Klopp trying to solve his VVD problem?

New rumours that Oliver Burke might be leaving Leipzig. After the Emirates Cup RR said that he'll stay next season, but now Kicker (print) is reporting signs are mounting that he'll still be out. They're citing tactical deficiencies and lacking in play against the ball as the reason again. Apparently this just doesn't work out.
A loan is out of question; if he leaves, he'll be sold. Most likely destination: Crystal Palace (should be interesting for Runie).
If he leaves, it's highly likely they'll bring another player in. Either now or in winter.
And Felix Passlack will apparently go to Hoffenheim on loan, in return of Toljan joining BVB.

€5 million euros for Jeremy Toljan is another steal from Zorc and the gang. Was wondering why he didn't start the other night, definite future Mannschaft right back of the future. Same usual clubs with great sporting directors doing the smart business while the rest are losing their heads...Blaise Matuidi to Juventus for €18 million another piece of solid transfer from Guiseppe Marotta.

Dortmund's CEO Watzke is irritated over Pep Segura's claims yesterday that Barcelona are "close to signing Dembele." He told Kicker: "I can’t explain what he's saying. Maybe it’s because Real played his team dizzy in the Supercup. Barcelona hasn’t come closer to their wish of making Dembele's transfer happen even by a millimeter." According to kicker, there has been no contact between the clubs for nine days.

Bild says Burke is off to Crystal Palace, for 18m. Allegedly Leipzig interested in Leverkusen's Kampl? Don't believe that.
Also, Stuttgart about to sign Eric Durm from Dortmund. Not overwhelmed with Reschke's first transfers there; seems he's already been infected.

Maybe Kampl isn't as far fetched, on second thought. Could be a great signing for the right price, actually.
But Jesus, if Leverkusen lose Kampl now, too, they are done for. Absolutely essential and MVP in many games in the Schmidt era.
