So according to local Leipzig reporters Burke is *not* off to Palace, contrary to what Bild said, the goddamn rag. No concrete offers on Leipzig tables as yet.

Progress. They found him and he's actually talking to someone at BVB.
Zorc also said that their stance is unchanged and they'll sell if BVB's demands are met. Also said selling at the last day is out of question. Deadline set on August 26th, apparently.

Watzke on Sky talk: Shots fired at Barcelona, he's really irritated over their behaviour. Probability of Dembele being transferred below 50 percent. Contests that Dortmund demand 150m as reported; sounds like the 120m fixed fee is correct (including or plus the 20m for Rennes?). If a transfer happens, a replacement is apparently already secured. There's a deadline before August 31st. Refused to comment on any other transfers including Toljan.
Rangnick on Sport1 Doppelpass: As it stands, Burke stays; could change if a club offers at least 15m, the player tells the club he wants to leave and they can find a replacement. A loan is not an option. No more money available for incoming transfers unless Burke is sold, for FFP restrictions.

It looks like the reports about Toljan to Dortmund and Durm to Stuttgart were premature. You can't believe Bild a thing.
Kicker says that there's now contact again between Dortmund and Barcelona, but still no bid.

Watzke told Kicker that Barcelona have made a "slightly improved" offer for Dembele. The original offer was 80m plus 25m in add-ons. The improved offer changes nothing in Dortmund's stance. They say there's no room for negotiations. The asking price is now cited as 140m (no information if all of that is fixed fee, or it's the earlier reported 120m fix plus add-ons). Barcelona has until the weekend to accept that fee, or leave it.
Take it "slightly improved" means something around 90m, otherwise the BVB would have to inform the shareholders. Still can't see Barcelona coming around and paying what they ask for in the next two or three days.

Looks like there's movement now on both fronts.
And there are actually some reports from halfway believable sources that Zorc and Watzke have met Barcelona representatives in Monaco, and Barcelona might pay the price they asked for, after all.

And RR called off his trip to Monaco in the last second today. Busy selling Burke, and getting a replacement.
E: New reports that Benny Höwedes will leave Schalke for Juventus. Caution, it's Italian media and Bild.

So far Dembele is kicked out of the French national team. Not permanently but still a clear message. In 2018 is the WC, hence he will sooner or later move.

Kicker says Burke is off to West Brom, will be announced today, and they seem quite positive that Kevin Kampl is on his way to Leipzig. Glad the Burke story is over, and if they can make KK44 happen for 20m or less, that will be a major coup. Völler OTOH should have his mental sanity examined then, though.

Watzke just said on Dortmund's fiscal press conference that the Dembele deal isn't done. "We're on our way, but we're not there yet." Earlier today a spokesman of the club said they've set Barcelona a deadline.

Following the Neymar transfer and the negative effect it has on Draxler's playing time, my mind started wandering with the hope that Bayern could possibly make a move and acquire his talent. And now I've just read on Süddeutsche that L'Equipe has stated that there's already contact between the two parties on this matter. Draxler's agent has said that his client likes being in Paris, which isn't exactly a strong denial.
I've always rated Draxler and would appreciate him being at Bayern.
Let's see what happens...
