Schalke vice-champions my ass*. *the Spiegel's predection for this season. I think they'll be in for a rude awakening. I don't think Tedesco is the 2nd Nagelsmann, more like the next Robin Dutt. He totally lacks the natural authority of Nagelsmann, he comes across like a nerd. Idiotic to tell Höwedes in the presser that "travelers shouldn't be stopped." Who does this guy think he is? The game against Hannover makes Leipzig's defeat on matchday 1 even more annoying. So unnecessary; can't see any new "handwriting" there, they are a bland and uninspiring team. And Heidel, who was named among the 10 best sporting directors in world football by Squawka, is more and more looking like an amateur. At this rate, by the end of the season, they'll gladly take Heldt and Keller back. |

Looks like Bayer Leverkusen are about to succeed in offloading their total flop Dragovic to last year's Premier League Champions Leicester. LOL.

Saw only now that Johannes Geis was signed by FC Sevilla from Schalke last minute on loan.
Still no definitive news about Leverkusen's striker Alario. Kevin Kampl reportedly takes a pay cut of 0.5m to get away from Leverkusen and move to Leipzig. Looking around in the Werkself forum I found that apparently after the dismissal of Roger Schmidt there emerged a rift in the squad between players supporting Schmidt and players who wanted him out. By the end of the season, the situation had become so untenable that the club felt they had no other choice than to sell the hardcore Schmidt supporters. Hence the sales of Calhanoglu, Chicharito and Kamplf for joke prices.

Dembele transfer contract leaked.  70m up front 35m on Juli 2018 5m for 25, 50, 75 and 100 games 5m if Barcelona qualify for CL (max 10m) 5m if Barcelona win CL (max 10m) So the local journalists were right (as expected) saying that 135m are "practically safe" (because hopefully nobody seriously believes Barcelona won't even qualify for CL twice in the next 5 years, or that he'll play less than 75 games). That aside they also have the contract Barcelona offered for Philippe Coutinho. Complete with E-Mails between Barcelona and Liverpool. I'd really like to know where that leak is - it was speculated it was at FIFA itself, but that doesn't explain the E-Mails. |
