I guess it goes w/o saying.
Lol @ unfollowing the WB. Like, it's a shitshow over there, but the movie barely broke even. What did he expect? He never followed them in the first place, get that part right at least.

A recent report from Variety detailed some of the behind-the-scenes discussionn that occurred in the lead up to and aftermath of "Black Adam." In particular, before James Gunn and Peter Safran took over as the new co-heads of DC Studios, Johnson made a pitch to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO that would have involved a new vision for the DCU beginning with his ill-fated anti-hero flick. The report explains: Not long after the Warner Bros. Discovery merger closed in April, Dwayne Johnson directly pitched CEO David Zaslav on a multiyear plan for Black Adam and a [Henry] Cavill-led Superman in which the two properties would interweave, setting up a Superman-versus-Black Adam showdown. Producers Hiram Garcia and Beau Flynn were also said to be part of Johnson's braintrust as the people attempting to take DC in a new direction. That didn't exactly pan out for anyone involved, it seems. The report also notes that this move ruffled feathers at the company, given that Johnson sort of went over everyone else's heads in an effort to make this happen. Yikes. I bailed after 40 minutes. I found it very flat. Boring anticlimactic fight scenes and jokes that weren't funny.

Cast member Noah Centineo admitted that he couldn't speak to anything happening behind the scenes, although he's excited "to see what they do with the DC world" under DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran: "I honestly can’t even speak to any of that. I don’t really know what their plan is, and I’m psyched to see what they do with the DC world. For me, I’m just really excited to see Peter Safran and James Gunn‘s vision for DC, those guys, they know what they’re doing. So, we’ll give it to him. I’m excited."www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-features/noah-centineo-the-recruit-interview-black-adam-to-all-the-boys-1235292158/

It has its entertaining bits* but I’m struggling to finish it now. *Call me easy to please but I like it when characters grow very big.

On the Oscars red carpet, Johnson was asked about Cavill's Superman exit. The Black Adam star hadn't previously commented on Cavill's departure, and in an interview with Variety, Johnson breaks his silence on Superman being recast in the upcoming DC Universe. Johnson likened the situation with Cavill to a football team that is taken over by new management who decides to replace the coach and the quarterback. Read his full quote on Cavill's Superman exit below. All that I could do, and that we could do, when we were making Black Adam was put our best foot forward, surround ourselves with the best people and then also deliver the best movie we could. Our audience score was in the 90s, critics took a couple a shots—that's just the business of it though. But I think it's almost like when you have a pro-football team and your quarterback wins championships, the head coach wins championships and then you have a new owner. And a new owner comes in and says, 'not my coach, not my quarterback. I'm gonna go with somebody new.'screenrant.com/henry-cavill-superman-exit-dwayne-johnson/
