Stanford putting the whuppin on UConn, 9-3. Looks like the Huskies bid to become the first northeast school to make the CWS since 2012 will fall short. The last northeast team to make the CWS, Stony Brook. I forgot about that Stony Brook. They beat LSU and Aaron Nola and Kevin Gausman to make the CWS. St John's came close to Omaha that year Stanford was the best team I saw all year.

Arkansas Auburn v. Mississippi Oregon State didn’t have the scrappy fighters like a Jacoby Ellsbury that they usually do. Running up 8-10 pitch At Bats. Generally driving the oppo pitcher nuts. Also they lost their elite pitching coach—-now at Texas A&M. Think Stanford wins it. Watched the pac 12 tourney and in 100 degree heat they were not fazed and had the deepest team. Who is everyone else picking?

Who is everyone else picking? I honestly don't know. It's been such an upset laden tournament so far I'm almost tempted to say Notre Dame. They have a lot of upperclassmen (a lot of grad students in the starting lineup) and they're playing with house money. Auburn might be the hottest team right now. They lost the first game of the SEC tourney to a lousy Kentucky team but have only lost once since. To Oregon State and maybe the best college pitcher, Cooper Hjerpe. A&M was the most impressive in the Supers, whupping a ranked Louisville. History favors Texas. They have the best player still in the tourney, Ivan Melendez, with the cool nickname, "The Hispanic Titanic". Guess I'll go with the Longhorns.
This from the guy who picked Tennessee to win it all

A&M’s pitching coach got Arizona to the CWS last year, and was the guy there when Oregon State won those titles. Tim Hudson is Auburn’s pitching coach, that makes them a fav.

Go UCONN I'd have to assume any team in the NE is an underdog against the mighty SEC/ACC/Big 12 - probably Pac12 too

Tennessee imploding against Notre Dame. The Curse of the #1 seed looks to be continuing. Up 3-1, now down 7-3. Oklahoma beating Virginia Tech. Looks like they're off to Omaha

Texas getting slaughtered and looking to be the first team out.
Boy, I can pick the winners, can't I?

Notre Dame is out, losing 5-1 to A&M 5-1. They would have been the first "cold weather" school to win it since Ohio State in 1966.

Have to say, the CWS has been a huge disappointment. Rout after rout after rout. No game has been closer than four runs.

Oklahoma through to the finals. Ole Miss could join them if they beat Arkansas later.
