I've only been to a hardees once when i visited my friend in South Carolina.
it's Carls JR on the west coast and central time zone. Carls Jr is tame company as Hardees but the menus aren't the same
And I don't like McDonald's outside of their breakfast menu
So I'd have to say hardees here

McDonald's wins by default for me. We don't have Hardee's in my neck of the woods.

Anywhere but McDonalds. They try to say that slop is food.

Every fast-food restaurant that I've eaten at so far > McDonalds

Pretend you never heard of McDonald's or Hardee's. Say you are hungry for a burger. Which one of these would you pick?

As good as the second one looks (Hardee's) I would pick the first one (McDonald's)

I'd pick the 2nd one. McDonald's is at the bottom of my popularity list.

Never had Hardee's. I'm from the East Coast. So McDonald's by default.
That being said, I would choose Taco Bell over McDonald's anyday.
And I eat at Jack in the Box whenever I go to California. At least three times during any one visit. It's just that good. Blows any other burger I've ever had out of the water.

I hate the texture of Hardees burgers but I love their Hot Ham and Swiss. For burgers I only like Steak and Shake or McDonald's.

If it weren't for the special sauce they put on the Bic Mac, I wouldn't eat at either one.

Hardee's for sure I prefer over McDonald's, even though there aren't many in the Chicago area. Hardee's tried a small comeback in the Chicago area a few years ago, but sadly not many of their locations they opened up during that attempted 2010s comeback are still open. It is a nice treat to go to Hardee's, whenever I'm in an area where I run into one(i.e. Racine, WI, Niles, MI, smaller Indiana towns, central Illinois, etc)!
For McDonald's, I mostly like their breakfast menu, and not as big of a fan of their menu beyond that. I never was a big fan of their lunch and dinner menu, so I was a huge fan of their decision to serve their breakfast items(except for steak sandwiches, and bagel sandwiches) all day! Which they should've done so many years ago, but better late than never.

Carl's Jr. The prices are whack, but they have good burgers (western bacon, jalapeño, guacamole) and their spicy chicken sandwich is better as well.

The only thing I like at Hardee's are the hotdogs. Although, I've recently been told that the chicken tenders there are very good. There is a lot more that I like on McDonald's menu. So, I have to choose McDonald's.
