'Between The Covers' is one of the few television shows I've been watching that's commissioned by the British Broadcasting Corporation. It screens on BBC2 at the moment and is hosted by disc jockey Sara Cox. Each episode I've seen has been around 30 minutes in length, with 4 guests talking about their favourite books, books they are currently reading, and a book that's been assigned for them to read by Cox.
Check it out!

Meh. Professional Northerner with annoying voice.
I’ve seen one or two episodes. They do have good guests sometimes e.g. Richard Osman

Sara Cox is from Bolton but I don't think she's a professional notherner. Also on television today you'll find Paddy McGuinness, Peter Kay and Vernon Kay; all four were born within a year of each other. Cox knows old broadcasting hands Stuart Maconie and Mark Radcliffe who emerged from the Lancashire massive.
Bestselling author Richard Osman is everywhere these days so you're in luck. He's dominated the U K book charts in softback and hardback yet still finds time to read Sara Cox's work, appear regularly on panel shows and host a daily quiz show. What a guy.

Please do. This week was a great edition with books by Anthony Trollope, Ernest Hemingway, John Irving and Yangsze Choo.

Don't forget Boltonian Libran Diane Morgan, born within a year of Sagittarian Sara Cox ...

Speaking of "ladettes" the big new 'Britpop' documentary series is due to start screening tonight, I think on Channel 5, and if I'm not mistaken there's a classic concert film to follow from national treasures and ultimate "bad lads" Oasis.

I found it mostly to be a pretty tiresome scene, perfect to go along with Blair's Government. Liked Luke Haines and Pulp but that was about it, the rest seemed largely derivative, the odd single aside. Mind you Amanda "Fucking" Palmer said it all while annoying fundamental Christians.

First episode of the new series of Between the Covers is on at 7pm on BBC2 this evening, 13 March.
One of the guests is Angela Scanlon …. forget Sara Cox, she is a fine looking lady!

I guess Pulp rode the bandwagon and typified the "anti" sentiment. You didn't like Suede?

Didn't mind "Dog Man Star", but never was much impressed by that sound.
