Just saw this movie starring Robert Redford, Faye Dunaway and Max von Sydrow last night.
However, there are some head scratchers such as: 1) It's a reach that Condor happens to come across a CIA plot in a book he read.
2) Why would the CIA set up a book/magazine reading place with the word "Literary" in the name? Almost a tip off.
3) Why not just have the CIA deny or ignore the discovered plot instead of sending in assassins to shoot up the place?
4) For a CIA chief, Wicks was sloppy and stupid. Why not go with Sam down the alley, get close enough to shoot and kill Condor and then Sam?
5) Well, that's it for his girlfriend and the man she is living with! Let's bone after I just talked to him on the phone even though you forced your way in here with me at gunpoint, tied me up and made me helpless and you saw and held your dead girlfriend earlier today! They should have left the sex part out of the script.
6) Why did Condor go to Sam's apt. to see his now widowed wife?
Other than that, good movie with the action, suspense and overall emotions of mistrust and secrecy and escaping.
