I have no problem with it - Freddie’s a great player who was the face of the Braves for a decade, it makes sense that he would be emotional upon his return to ATL.

And he decided to go for hundreds of millions of bucks. Not like he was being tossed out on the street or something…

Such a moment, it almost seemed like a movie rather than real life. So perfectly staged and that guy playing Freeman, well, I could have sworn it was him.

He wanted to be back and the Braves were willing to pay him. His agent kind of over played his hand and fucked him over by trying to force the Braves into a 24 hour ultimatum which they were not going to just give in to an agent like that. They were willing to give him a similar deal but I believe with higher annual salary but a year or 2 less. Instead the ultimatum came and the Braves who were the only other bidder to bid against the Dodgers were out after trading for Olsen. It left the agent with no leverage on the negotiations with the Dodgers. Freeman could have gotten a better deal had his agent not gotten power hungry.

That's how most Braves fans feel yeah. He reportedly wanted to stay but seemingly left all the negotiations to his agent.

“It was very cool (to see Freeman’s reception Friday night),” Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw told The AJC. “He’s obviously been a big contributor for our team. And I hope we’re not second fiddle. It’s a pretty special team over here, too. I think whenever he gets comfortable over here, he’ll really enjoy it. It was a good night for him (Friday).”
In other words, you're on this team, dude.

Btw he fired his agency today. Stating his unhappiness in how his free agency played out.

The food is yucky. Someone put fake bugs in his bed. He doesn't get to go with the cool kids, and they make fun of him, anyway. Kershaw is a geek.

If this is true than this is worthy of any and all clients to fire him. He simply had his own interests in mind and not his clients. Never told Freddie the Braves final offer knowing he would take it? That tells me HE wanted more money for himself, not what the client wants. He seemingly forgot who he was working for.
I believe Dansby Swanson has him as his agent as well, or at least has that same agency and he is playing himself into a top pay day. As a Braves fan I hope Dansby kicks them to the curb as well.
