A little early I know, but the post credit scene leaked on twitter. So, I figured I'd get this up in case anyone wanted to discuss it.

Not who I expected them to cast for that part.

The film has an amazing soundtrack! Christian Bale was great but unfortunately isn't in it a lot until the third act.
I really wish he was in the film more. Especially when we didn't get to see him do a lot of God butchering on screen.

Honestly i kinda hope Taika Waititi doesn't return for Thor 5. The comedy can be a bit much at times. O wish someone would tell him to dial it back a notch or twelve.

Decent movie. Gorr was played straight which was refreshing to see. I just dont like Chris Hemsworth and Taikis take on Thor. The personality theyve given him is too childlike, sorry no other way to say it. The script coulda used more depth during the non-action scenes. I liked the ending though and the movie overal is a lot more emotionally challenging than Ragnarok. 6.5/10

I liked it but Taika humor is starting to get stale. I think the next Thor film could benefit from a new direction. I know the death of Gorr's child is supposed to be sad, but I got nothing from it. The director of John Carter commented he discovered they would bring him whatever he asked for-chickens, etc, so he started demanding outrageous stuff because he could. The first half feels like that. Waititi seeing what he can get away with.

Not my favorite Thor movie but second favorite. The tonal shifts were a little rougher this time around. Taika usually handles that kind of layering/shifting pretty well. This time not so much. Still good movie overall. Bale could've had some more scenes just to see him chew them up. I don't think he was wasted by any means but maybe underutilized.
Kind of refreshing that other than the GotG and the Post credit scene no real plot pushing for the entire MCU.
I'd give it a 7.5
Also I know this was a Thor movie so having 2 Thor's at the end makes sense, but Valkyrie getting sidelined before the final act was a little meh in my opinion.

Honestly i kinda hope Taika Waititi doesn't return for Thor 5. Oh! Thor 4 no good? At some point in the middle of the movie, my wife said this: "Who the heck is the director of this movie? He's like a little kid."

Taika has some genius in him but somebody really needs to keep him on a leash. This movie felt like he was a kid allowed to run amok in a candy store.

I don’t know what to really say about this movie. I don’t think it’s bad, but I can’t say it impressed me. The comedy just felt like more of the same. I wasn’t baffled by it, but it didn’t have me rolling on the floor either. It’s all become standard at this point. I guess Bale is pretty good and Portman and Hemsworth work fine together in this one, but as a whole, it’s just a perfectly adequate, disposable way to kill two hours. I feel like I’ve seen pretty much everything from the MCU after NWH.

Can we please talk about how they made a Pixar character a God in the MCU?

This was not a good movie. It was like a spoof of a spoof of itself. Every joke was stretched beyond its breaking point, if it was even funny to begin with. All over the place tonally, Bale was in a completely different film. It was borderline incoherent. The entire city of the gods sequence made no sense at all and featured some kind of emoji or something as a character. What the actual fuck. They 'killed' Zeus and just walk away. Zeus, who is also played like a clown (just like Thor), whom Thor apparently admired more than his own father.
We've gone from fat slob loser Thor to single dad with a little girl sidekick Thor. Credits read, 'Thor will return.' At this point, I don't think I care if he does.
This is the sixth movie in phase four and I can't say I'm dying to see any of them again anytime soon. Between this and the continued downward spiral of the Disney+ shows, I'm seriously concerned for the future of the MCU.
