Done the artist one before, although it's fun to revisit but how about specifically writers? My friend loves "Shakespeare in Love" which is saying a lot because he reads Shakespeare all the time. He has two copies of his full writings, one to make notes and one to keep perfect. wow.

Midnight in Paris (2011). There's a whole cast of them from Hemingway to Fitzgerald.

If not limited to actual specific writers, two of my personal favorites, both about (fictional) screenwriters: Sunset Blvd.Barton Fink

Not sure if this qualifies, but Dead Poets Society is a great movie about student poetry writers.

Adaptation. (2002) Trumbo (2015) Capote (2005) Finding Neverland (2004) Hemingway & Gellhorn (2012) Mank (2020)
There are some noteworthy documentaries like Life Itself (about Roger Ebert, a film critic/journalist), Hemingway (a documentary series from Ken Burns), and Trumbo (2007).

Thanks Archelaus, Capote's a good one, and I love Finding Neverland. Mank from the infamous 2020? Interesting I love documentaries, thanks. I'll try to find those 3
