Downton Abbey, I was a complete fan of the show. I've only seen one episode of Poldark.

I haven't seen Poldark, so definitely Downton Abbey.
The writing on that show is phenomenal. I always ask myself how something so boring can be so interesting. I'm really looking forward to the movie.

I hadn't even heard of Poldark. If they are comparable though I must check it out considering how much I miss Downton.

I hadn't even heard of Poldark. If they are comparable though I must check it out considering how much I miss Downton. I’m the opposite. I never watched Downton Abbey (though I've discovered that a couple of actresses I’m a fan of were in it, so I may have to check it out at some point), but really enjoy Poldark. It’s one of my favourite shows currently on TV. We’ve almost finished Season 3 where I am. I definitely think it’s worth checking out.

i enjoyed the original poldark in the 70s, but haven't seen the new version. I don't want to go through all that again. I enjoyed the first series of downton Abbey but went off it after that, too many people kept dying.

Downton Abbey is a 100 times better than Poldark. Better writing, better acting, better storylines, better characters, better costumes, better everything.
