And for the record, I actually liked Captain Marvel more than most, so this is disheartening news. It's a real shame the MCU can't seem to do right by this character. Heck, I disliked Captain Marvel, it's one of my lowest ranked MCU movies... yet I'd still take it in a heartbeat over Ms. Marvel. And despite whatever criticisms I might have against Carol Danvers and Kamala Khan, they're at least far more memorable than Monica Rambeau.

MCU test screening are usually with Marvel employees , not general audiences , so if true , not good

She's so overpowered in the MCU puzzle for me. She's basically Superman yes? Or I'm supposed to accept that. They set her up with Infinity War post-credits, & faced her 1-1 credibly with Thanos... there's not a lot of room from that yes?

Carol just kinda breezes through them, and now they gave her 2 additional team mates. They're going to need to find a pretty hardcore villain to make that movie interesting.

The only instance of her being overpowered, in my mind, is shrugging off a Thanos headbutt. Dude was tossing Thor and the Hulk around like ragdolls. Superman has laser eyes, super breath, super speed, super hearing, etc. that as far as I'm aware of, CM does not possess.

Even so, the plot points are nearly identical. Good or not, rehashing old MCU plots is a weird choice. I’m guessing the screenwriters didn’t even realize they were doing it.
