I don't think this has been posted anywhere here. It's not really a horror movie, of course, but it still seems relevant to this board.
And I was surprised that there was no discussion here about how shockingly awful this looks. It's one thing for it not to be promising, but this looks like fucking amateur hour. I'm not surprised that it looks stupid, but the fact that it looks this cheap and this unprofessional is pretty jarring.

Yeah, I can’t tell if it’s a stylistic choice, or was the budget cut/or it’s a low cost production? Some scenes look alright, but others do look cheap. Definitely more of the latter though. Is it getting a theatrical release, or straight to streaming (…or both)?

There's two big threads about it elsewhere. Yeah it looks atrocious. I think the campiness and low quality is on-purpose but it looks like Rob Zombie did his job too well.

It was announced as a Peacock original but was acquired by Netflix and will, coincidentally, premier around the time the new Wednesday Addams series will debut.

I think it's partially intentional, it is supposed to be an extension of a sitcom after all, but it looks poorly executed even for that.

It does not look that good but I still want to see it. Yeah... I'll almost certainly watch it and then complain about it.

It does not look that good but I still want to see it. Agreed.......didn't really care for what they seem to be doing, but then I'm not sure what I really expected. The good news is entire movies often end up being MUCH different than what we sometimes perceive after seeing just a 2 or 3 minute clip..... SAVE FERRIS

None of us followed up on this. I kind forgot about it, but it's pretty much what we all thought. Not a complete disaster, but pretty lame and cheap looking.

Rob Zombie is obviously a huge fan of the TV series, but he should never have been given the reins of making this into a movie. It's bad, and not in a good way bad. Overtly colorful and none of the humor lands. Zombie's talents do not lie in comedy. It was painful. Should have been made in black & white, it might have helped.

Overtly colorful and none of the humor lands. Zombie's talents do not lie in comedy. It was painful. Should have been made in black & white, it might have helped. I wonder if he could have done something a bit better with some oversight. It's not all bad... it's just mostly bad. Had this been made at a studio instead of just some throwaway thing at Universal that they didn't pay attention to or give any money to, then maybe they'd have force him to team up with a real writer, or may a few comedy writers to create jokes that might have actually landed or at least felt like old timey sitcom jokes... and maybe it wouldve looked better... I got the sense that they just left him alone and let him do what he wanted as long as he kept the budget down, which reeally shows. What's odd there though is that they demanded he not shoot it in black and white. Seems strange that that would be the one stipulation. Because the basic outline of what little plot there is works well enough. It would have worked better as an episodic series, I think. But yeah.. Rob Zombie really doesn't know how to structure a joke, and some of the performances are terrible. The Herman Munster performances is very odd and not like the Fred Gwynne approach at all. I haven't seen it in over year, and I can't imagine I'll ever watch it again, but it was a mixed bag that was mostly bad, but could've worked with some tweaks.
