Unless you paid $6 for three numbers. At least with scratch-off tickets, the minimum winning prize is the same as the price of the ticket.

Eh, lottery tickets are for chumps. I get the desire to win the jackpot, but for those spending on them regularly you're only losing more than you're actually winning even if you earn a couple dollars on occasion.

The only times I've participated in Lottery, or other big drawings was when I was still working, and someone would get a "pool" going. I'd throw in a dollar if someone else would be willing to buy the tickets, print them all out and distribute them to the participants. We never won anything, but I never really bothered to match our tickets with the drawing results. Perhaps the others were stealing me blind. One time, I did win the 1st quarter, AND final score, in the office Super Bowl pool. That was cool.
