a movie/ show to be made about a particular scene/subplot/ minor character of the thing that u r watching, almost RATHER than the thing they actually made and u r now watching?
It happened to me again recently with the movie Nope - where I felt like I would Rather watch a movie about Gordy / the Chimp, as his was the most interesting scene and character for me.
Same today with DC League of Superpets - I wanna see a movie just on Ace and Batman. That montage showing their lives was Perfect. Better than the overall movie.
But the most “painful” one was when I watched Station 11. I loved the first episode and wanted to watch a show about the indian guy and his brother and what happens to them. And even though they set up Jeevan as a Key character in episode one he was barely there in the following episodes. I was SOOOO disappointed. I barely stayed with the show.
The way they introduced that character was so unique I immediatelly fell in love in him. And they go on and DONT make the rest of the show about him??? Aaargh. I continued to watch but just kept wishing they did.
Does this happen to you? Do you have examples?
