Can Discovery just go ahead and sell the DC brand? I don't care if Disney buys it. Yep. Fuck it. I'm sick and tired of Warner Brothers bullshit. It's time someone else takes over DC. Even if it's the devil themselves.

That's it. Bring back the draft.

Why do people want to see a bad movie so bad?

That's it. Bring back the draft. Screw that, bring back duels. People would be a lot more careful about what they said if they knew they could be challenged to a swordfight, fist fight or shootout whenever they insulted someone.

Look on the bright side, this might mean someone is finally taking charge in WB. Zaslav might just be the Feige of WB/DC.
Wouldn't it be ironic that he finally gets the DCEU ship properly sailing just as the MCU's trajectory is failing?

Hey all, just read the thread. It's all bizarre, and I am no corporate lawyer who understands how to write off a 90M+ production to balance books. My thoughts are Flash, completed 2 years ago and not released is the problem. That problem being whatever he calls himself may choke puppy dogs on livelink tomorrow. Batgirl was the bridge after.....The Flash. How could test audiences respond to Batgirl if the film was made to follow the Flash? What? That Keaton? What's the story? If Discovery/Warner can get flash released, I think Batgirl will survive, they know what happened with the Snyder Justice cut. 90M+ is not just pennies in the tray, blood sweat loyalty and respect factors as well. Just my op

Some new details have emerged about the test screening: thedirect.com/article/batgirl-movie-plot-cancelled-flash-catwomanSo apparently it was compared to a TV pilot because of it's smaller scale and presumably as it was open ended with the hopes of setting up sequels. I still want to see it though, it may not be cinematic but it was never intended to be as it was made for streaming. Not every superhero story needs to be big and I think a smaller scale would work for Batgirl. The Dark Phoenix comparison is quite damning though.

I mean, they loaded a bunch of junk in a tunnel. That's probably what they want Gotham to look like, but it doesn't exactly look expensive either. Most scrapyards would give away those stuff for free.

www.ign.com/articles/leslie-grace-may-not-be-done-playing-batgirl Lately there's been talk that Warners are considering putting Leslie Grace's Batgirl in another project, with the current speculation leaning towards Black Canary being the most likely candidate. Personally, I hope she turns them down. They screwed her over royally with Batgirl and so she shouldn't go back.

In an interview with Discussing Film Holt was asked about if she had already begun working on her score for Batgirl which she replied, “I had written about an hour and a half of music. I’ve been working on it for a year. So yeah, pretty sad what’s happened to it.”

Jud Harron, who served as an extra on Batgirl, has shared her reaction to the movie's cancellation with Greenock Telegraph, lamenting how her hard work has gone down the drain. Harron says she had never imagined a production this size would get shelved and also reflects on the repercussions the Glasgow community is facing as a result of the movie's cancellation. Read what Harron said below. "This is the first big production I've been involved in and it was a really great experience. It's so disappointing that it has been shelved. When I heard the news I was really surprised. It was hard work, 12-hour shifts working through the night in Glasgow winter wasn't the easiest. It was still a great experience for me.
The production took over so many parts of the city. I was filming scenes in George Square which had been made over to look like Gotham City. There were countless road closures and diversions put in place, so it's understandable why so many people are frustrated about it being cancelled after there was so much disruption. It's crazy to think such a big project can just be scrapped."

It seems like Zaslav is already pissing off a lot of people. The man’s completely defying Hollywood norms, which doesn’t seem to be going well for him so far.

However, in a new interview with skript_fr on TikTok, El Arbi and Fallah have cleared the air about Batgirl's substandard quality. As the filmmakers note, they received word from Warner Bros. that the movie being scrapped had nothing to do with those involved. Read what the Batgirl directors said below. "The guys from Warner told us, it was not a talent problem from our part or the actress, or even the quality of the movie. We were right in the middle of editing... They told us, it was a strategic change. A shifting in the management."
