LOL. Didn't Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren use that miniscule (less than 1%) bit of Indian blood to get a free ride at University?
Insulting Elizabeth Warren by repeating that Trump mocking name is beneath you, Stryker. Also, Warren didn't get a free ride at University by claiming Native American heritage.
She actually went to George Washington University on a debate scholarship.I loathe the amoral serial liar, conman and criminal Donald trump, but I give credit where credit is due Spidey. The "Pocahontas" thing was funny, even if it was crude, derogatory, a little racist even, and the evil, corrupt, vulgar Fat Donnie milked it for too long.
Also, you should know, if I was an American I would vote for Elizabeth Warren over trump or any other representative of the current Republican Party. The very privileged Warren overplayed her possible "Native American Heritage" hand, and ended up paying a bit of a political price for it. Big f...... deal, it comes with the territory.
I enjoyed Warren, though, - and of course Bernie, in the presidential primaries, but as an astute and passionate observer of American politics over many years I had already worked out that the only candidate who could take The trump toad in the White House down was Joe Biden; and I was right. None of of what I have said above, however, means I am not against some of the Democrats policies, issues and stand.
But, I actually think Biden is the most decent and caring President America has has had since Jimmy Carter. He's a good man, and he has done pretty well in trying times and circumstances, but he's not necessary the most effective president. Still, I agree with him and his administration, more than I disagree. For the record book Like the late, great statesman Nelson Mandela - he was My President My President,
* I believe in non racialism. And I live out that belief everyday in South Africa - which is now a kleptocracy, so obviously I am no longer a member of the ANC and I vote for the opposition DA. It is heartbreaking to see what South Africa has turned into. Madiba must rolling in his grave. Also we have three sessions of load shedding a day at the moment, so I must run - might be back later tonight. Despite my pessimism and sadness, please don't think I don't still love my country, I do but ...
“During my lifetime I have dedicated myself to this struggle of the African people. I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.” NELSON MANDELA.The Facts.
In 1996, Harvard Law School touted Warren, then a professor at the university, as being "Native American" in a letter responding to criticism of the school's lack of minority women.
In 2012, Scott Brown, the former GOP senator Warren unseated and current ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa, used Warren's self-proclaimed Native American heritage to question her integrity. In 2016, Brown also said Warren should "take a DNA test" if she wants to prove her heritage.
Warren defended her claims, telling NPR in 2012 that while growing up in Oklahoma, her family always told her she's part Cherokee. "These are my family stories," she said. "This is our lives. And I'm very proud of it." However she said she didn't have documentation to prove it.
Fact-checkers attempted to trace her ancestry, but after several failed attempts the consensus was that
there is no documented evidence that she is of Native American heritage. Experts have also noted that any such evidence is difficult to prove to begin with.During his presidential campaign,
trump used the controversy to attempt to discredit her criticism of him.
