We got a Daredevil tease at the end of the episode. Sadly that is the only thing worth mentioning about with this episode. Bad episode? I’ve stopped watching, honestly. And my DisneyFlix runs out this week, I think. Wish I had your conviction. I keep watching hoping it will get better. It doesn't. It just feels like one filler episode after another, and this episode is probably the most filler-like episode yet. There's literally nothing that happens here. The first episode is still the best one so far, and that’s mostly due to Hulk. It just keeps going downhill from there.

Honestly, this was probably the last time I give one of these tv shows a chance.

I was bored by every storyline. Even the Daredevil tease fell flat because if you'd seen the trailer you knew he was gonna be in the show...so it did nothing for me.

Last week was definitely better, but that was mostly due to Wong in my opinion. In fact when I think about it, the best parts of She-Hulk are when she has cameos from previous characters. Hulk, Abomination, Wong, etc. When she's left on her own, she just doesn't do anything interesting. I kinda wish the writers would make the main character more than just a passenger in this show.

Jen definitely felt like a passenger this episode. They didn’t even give her the much hyped outfit reveal to finish it off. They leave that cliffhanger for the next episode.

I got a kick out of this episode, but the show continues to baffle me. The stuff with her friends trying to set up a meeting with the designer played more like a Disney Channel kids show; the writing, the acting, all of it. What are we watching, who is the target demographic?
Clever concept with the trial-- imagine having to count on sleazy exes to testify on your behalf in court. You win the case at the cost of your own dignity. I thought it as executed brilliantly. It's a goofy show that isn't about anything, and I'm ok with that. But it's weird that it continues to have this mild feminist commentary while not taking itself seriously in the least.
I have to say my response to this show is a completely unique experience as a viewer. I constantly complain about it, yet legitimately enjoy it at the same time. It's a backhanded compliment at best, but hey, if it can't quite decide what it's trying to do, it's ok that I can't quite decide how I feel about it.

Did anyone feel confused about Pug's complete personality change? Could have sworn he was the serious, competent lawyer just an episode or two ago.
Now he's even goofier than Nikki.

The problem with this show... is that the writers don't really seem interested in writing a superhero show. Neither do they seem to be writing a sitcom or comedy. What they seem to be doing is making this show into a self-insert power fantasy where they can project their issues onto.
It's never been as blatantly obvious as it was in this latest episode.
I mean, Jen gets invited to a wedding where every woman there is unreasonably mean to her. She gets ordered around like a maid AND gets partnered up with a dog. Like, seriously??? What is this, a highschool production of mean-girls? Then it's heavily contrasted by how much praise and adoration She-Hulk gets, with women outright telling her how great her ass and tits look out of nowhere.
Everyone behaves in such a petty and unrealistic manner, even Jen and Titania. Heck, their fight scene ends with Titania tripping and bashing her teeth in. How does that even injure her when she's strong enough to take punches from She-Hulk?
This is such a clear case of who-I-see-myself-as vs. who-I-wish-to-be from the writer's perspective that it's just.... sad.
And they really need to tone down the anti-male messaging, or at least handle it with a subtler hand. A professional lawyer and her assistant aggressively dressing down and lecturing their client on how to be a better man/husband and then pretty much throwing him under the bus against his opposition because they think he's a jerk? I mean, I'm all for female empowerment but this is outright man-bashing at this point.

Honestly it really does feel like not much thought was put into this show. Like i'm convinced that this was only greenlit because Disney demanded more Disney+ content and Feige really didn't have any big plans for She-Hulk do he just decided to do a show with her and didn't care who wrote it.
Honestly i feel like even Feige himself doesn't really give a shit about this show.

I'm really digging this show, but one thing doesn't make sense. Didn't Titania straight up bust into a courtroom and assault people in the first episode? I feel like the show forgot about that. Are there no consequences?

Are there no consequences? Wong also admitted, in court, to breaking out a prisoner from max security. No consequences either.

This is not how you build a strong superhero clientele for your newly formed law division.

This is not how you build a strong superhero clientele for your newly formed law division. Yup. It was extremely unprofessional and completely unrealistic, especially at such a high-profile law firm as they supposedly were. It's also kind of weird that She-Hulk only handled a single case for them so far, despite being the face of the new division. Despite Jen constantly mentioning how keen she was on having a successful career, this show keeps focusing more on her dating life than her law career.
