But do you think that this is an issue that is present in the MCU? Captain Marvel? She Hulk? Yes it is present in the MCU, although I would say to a somewhat lesser degree than some other places. However, the rest of Phase IV and Phase V could see big problems if they succumb to this fear. See, now this is why it’s important for fans to discuss these things. Captain Marvel is a decent movie and doesn’t deserve the trolling it got. I enjoy it. But… I do think Marvel needs to be aware of this problem because I want more great female characters in the MCU. I want more Wandas, Nats and Nebulas and with some course correction I think Carol could get there in the sequels. Same with She Hulk.

According to Samba TV, She-Hulk's viewership numbers had around 1.5 million households in the US. That ties it up with Hawkeye at being the 2nd least viewed MCU D+ premiere to date.
WandaVision: 1.6 Million The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: 1.8 Million Loki: 2.5 Million Hawkeye: 1.5 Million Moon Knight: 1.8 Million Ms. Marvel: 775k SHe-Hulk: 1.5 Million
P.S. - I'm actually surprised Moon Knight had more viewership than Wandavision and Hawkeye.

Except for She-Hulk, the 3 lowest are all the ones I haven't watched. That said, I'm surprised Moon Knight's numbers are higher than Hawkeye's. Other than that, it seems about correct. Loki's an MVP of the MCU, and for my money, the best of the shows.

These numbers are pretty pathetic considering how many people see the movies.
Also Game of Thrones had an average of 12 million viewers across its run and went up to 44 million during the final season.

To be fair, D+ is mostly just US centric whereas HBO is more worldwide. That said, GOT shitstomps on any D+ show so far, both MCU and Star Wars combined.

Advertising and Disney shills keep framing these shows like they’re gigantic successes and cultural phenomenons but they’re really not. The numbers do not lie

Is that for first episode or average per episode? I’d really like to see the viewing figures for the last episode of each season. Like how many people watched the episode in full, without fast forwarding. It would be one person: Archstanton.

That ‘island’ in the first ep looked artificial. I know it’s more convenient to avoid filming on location but it looks really cheap. Real sunshine is beautiful. This sky was dull.

Viewership usually start going down in the succeeding episodes

Honestly the drama over one episode of She-Hulk has been nothing but entertainment. Last time we had something this tasty was with Captain Marvel and the Brie Larson thing.

I’m assuming that Loki premiere is their absolute highest figure. Only cracking 2 mil once is pretty pathetic. I would be worried if I were Feige. If Ms Marvel is required viewing for The Marvels then less than a million people are going to fully understand what’s going on in that movie!

I’m certain that all of these shows are as irrelevant as Agents of SHIELD. Maybe what you need to know about them is summed up in a single line of dialogue.

To be fair, the feminist messaging in She-Hulk is actually more heavy-handed than Captain Marvel and it's coupled with worse writing, so I can understand where the backlash is coming from. Hopefully the writing/messaging is handled better in the next few episodes so this show gets a fair chance to win audiences over.

I thought episode 2 was really good and I'm rather excited to see where this story goes. My biggest complaint is that the episode felt short...but that's a good complaint to have.

Joe gets some things wrong in his ranting here but I think his overall point is that some of the 'fans' are acting like jagaloons.

Planet Hulk seems to be confirmed. Why did they borrow elements of it already in Thor: Ragnorok?

I doubt that Banner would be cool with the prospect of Blonsky being released. Couldn’t they have opted for tension between Banner and Walters regarding her decision to represent her cousin’s nemesis? Like, maybe show her to be too career-focussed?

Yeah it has the potential to be the best of these MCU shows, but don’t doubt their propensity to screw it up. The writing isn’t exactly strong and I feel that they are constantly teetering on the brink of major cringe. But we’ll see.

Planet Hulk seems to be confirmed. Why did they borrow elements of it already in Thor: Ragnorok? Sounds messy. Not to mention the story is basically humorless. They will have to do a real character correction with Hulk.
