Some may have known it already, but I just learned Bill Cosby can be seen for about two seconds in Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice.
The intriguing thing about this is it was not intending to be a blink-and-you'll-miss-him quickie. Cosby actually shot an entire scene, with dialogue, but for some reason it was cut before release.

It's in the extended version on DVD and bluray, but wasn't in the theatrical cut. My favourite scene of the whole 12 hours or whatever it is. Richard Kimblethanks for the Double Indemnity shots - I'd heard of it but never seen any before.

Vaguely relevant: Bela Lugosi joins Gloria Holden in a publicity still for Dracula's Daughter (1936), although he does not appear in the film. Early press releases for this movie lauded Lugosi’s return as the ‘vampire gentleman’ to be joined by Jane Wyatt as Dracula’s Daughter.

Something about Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man 1943. I don't remember all the details, but the monster should have been able to speak in the voice of Ygor, so the casting of Bela Lugosi as the monster doesn't seems that far-fetched knowing that. The monster talking scenes were filmed but then cut. since they sounded too much like Nazi Master Race ideas. This was just from memory. I had heard it was cut because it was deemed as too comical. Someone did a recreation of it--but his Lugosi impersonation was terrible. They needed Gabriel Dell.

What about the scene of Woltz and the girl in the Godfather? The removal of that scene makes Vito Corleone look like more of a monster since putting the head in the bed was meant as a statement greater than just "put Johnny Fontaine in a movie."

In the original script of Cool Hand Luke, just before the car wash, there was a short scene of another woman passing by in a convertible. The convertible scene didn't make it into the final cut of the movie but, as evidenced by these photos from a contact sheet, the scene was filmed. Presumably the scenes were considered repetitive and that's why the convertible scene was dropped in favor of the car wash.
