... suck. So far. Barely a .500 team. Getting swept by the Dodgers. Yet they are only a game out of first in a weak division. The Redlegs and Pirates aren't going to be a factor, the Brewers will fade (won't they?) and the Cardinals are as mediocre as the Cubbies. The team, as it stands now, should win the division. But I can't see them going far in the playoffs. And they will be in trouble if the Brew Crew and the Redbirds get hot. A wild card might be a reach with the Diamondbacks, Rockies and Dodgers all playing much better. The Giants and the Mets (if they avoid more injuries) could come back.

they're still 'smelling themselves' from the WS win.
tomorrow is Memorial Day.
i've come to think if you 'hang in there' late August - being there's 2 Wild Cards now - September is when you start making your run.
they'll be fine - and be there in the end......
